Re: Pentax 6x7 extension tubes
Dave, My #1 tube has no spring either. It looks like it couldn't have one by design. #2 and #3 have springs and they look like they are in the same basic place. Look at your #3 and see how it looks. #2 looks the same. Bruce Dayton Tuesday, April 02, 2002, 11:24:35 PM, you wrote: DAM Hi all, DAM I recently bought a set of 6x7 extension tubes. Look at your #3 and see how it looks. #2 looks the same. Thanks Bruce. I managed to find out exactly what was happening last night after I sent the email. The #1 tube has no spring, nor any provision for a spring. The #2 and #3 tubes have a spring. The bent end fits in a small hole which I originally thought was a hole for those little grub screws (which I'd removed entirely the first time, and they're a pain to get back in). Luckily I didn't have to attempt dismantling the #3 tube. I was afraid that its spring would also leap out of its place before I saw where it went. So all my questions are answered and all my problems fixed :) Cheers, - Dave http://www.digistar.com/~dmann/ (out of date) - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
