It will be fine a couple of weeks or even months, but eventually the problem I described will come back. I can then adjust it once more, but it won't hold long. That is, I have pushed said lever back to its original postition to the best of my ability, with the guidance of another camera, a ME. It looks alright but is evidently drifting in some way. Hi Petter, You went to Africa with you friend didn't you ;-)? The aperture is *never*, repeat *never* shown in the PentaxA, SuperA, ProgrammedPlus or SuperProgramm body. This was one of the weakest design of the A-series lens (the lack of appropriate contact and info). The aperture is shown only in programmed mode or shutter priority AE (on the bodies that have this function). This was always the reason when it came time for me to divorce one ;-), my Pentax MX won! I'd be more worry that the aperture mechanism stop down properly. If you have another body, use slide film and take picture of the gray card (or a scene ;-) in manual mode and see if the mechanism stop down correctly by comparing slides.
