It could be the card reader, a cable or any number of things in that 
data pipeline, it could be even worse than that.  The hard drive may be 
failing.

you're doing remarkably well. St. Ansel sends his demons directly to my M8
from time to time and implants some multicoloured lines right there in the
camera itself.
