Frank, I think you should try Noise Ninja. It would control the noise in
this shot handily and not lose very much detail. It's not that
expensive, IIRC.

I like the colour and composition but the noise bothers me just a bit.

I think this would respond well to noise reduction - but, then again, maybe you
prefer it this way. :-)

I don't find the noise objectionable here. It's even and consistent. Some noise

Really a shot like this cries for a tripod and low ISO setting to capture
the lights and reflections with as much resolution and clarity as possible,
IMO. The bottom left hand corner needs some attention I think.

Sure, on a 4x6 print it would be fine. But this is a shot BEGGING for a
large print. I'm sure a noise filter of some kind would clean it up
very nicely. My comments were based on the image as presented.

Nice capture knarF.

FWIW -
I saw something similar done by a local photog (Monte Nagler) of the Detroit
skyline. He shot a night shot also a day shot from the exact same
location, with identical equipment. He then flipped (top to bottom) the
night shot matched them, one above the other @ the water line - really
spectacular.

Your night shot sure is a candidate for that process.
