Hang about! 'Worst bird photos' - that's my genre.  Get your own!!  :-)

But, nothing wrong with that - I like to see the bird in context.   
Works well except for that white blob on the twig.  I agree with Ann -  
I don't think I could resist the temptation to remove it.

I think it's a sweet photo but on one rendition I'm seeing a blotch of
white on the twig I'd want to clone out - though I'm not sure now

If the 600 is long enough, the A5.6 is great. If you need extra length a 
lot, and use a teleconverter most of the time, I think the FA 600/4 is the 
better choice. It is MUCH bigger though.
I think the tripod socket placement is really wonky on the A600/5.6.

The DA 16-45 has been the workhorse. Today with the bird show I just
found myself in a situation where more FL would have been handy.
