By coincidence, I just bought a DA 14mm F/2.8 last week :-)

I got it from Kamera Express which does mail-order and has a
regular shop as well. They do NOT have it in stock though, they
order it from Pentax-Benelux and need a few days to get it.

It is not terribly cheap either at 730 Euros, but AFAIK it is the
only shop in the Netherlands that actually has it in the pricelist.

This is the link to that part of their price-list:

 http://www.kamera-express.nl/shop.asp?shop=ANALOOGcategorie=9merk=27

You could also phone them to check availability

Or if you have some time left, send an inquiry to:

Regards, JvW

PS:
The DA-14mm is marvelous.
I used it at a birthday party today, the FOV is noticable larger
that the DA 16-45mm ...

FWIW, I live in Amsterdam and from experience I can say it's not the
easiest place to buy new Pentax gear. Even the official Pentax
specialist, a shop named Esser, generally has little in stock and sells at
or near the importer's recommended retail price. For new gear, I concur
with others who have recommended kamera-express.nl. There are a few nice
second-hand places that you might want to visit though, most notably in the
Haarlemmerstraat just west of Central Station. The city of Utrecht (less
than half an hour from Amsterdam by car or train) has some excellent shops
as well.

I don't know where you're located, but I'm under the impression photo gear
tends to be a lot more expensive in Europe than in North America. Not just
photo gear, FTM... when it comes to musical instruments, we usually pay
around double the US prices (even when the instruments are manufactured here).

Charles, try a camera shop, you should be OK. Whatever you do though steer
clear of the coffee shops (even if you just want a cup of cofee), they are
leathal and you wonte get anythign done at all during your trip!

I doubt you would go there for coffee, there are better places for that. Anyway, the
coffee shops are legal, and not leathal. If you want to have a blast and mind blowing
experience, that's the place to be. I can't advise very well on photoshop though.

I cannot tell whether there is any shop in Amsterdam that will have the
DA 14 in stock, but I doubt it. There is a major mail order shop in the
suburbs of Rotterdam where you may get the DA 14 for 730 euro:
http://www.kamera-express.nl/shop.asp?shop=ANALOOGcategorie=9merk=27

Let me know if you need any help to get there.

Coffee shops in Amsterdam not leathal you say? Man, you can get stoned in
that city from just taking in the air outside the coffee shops!

Kamera-express is not mail order only, you can also get the stuff in
there very nice shop. You can order the lens and tell them that you will
pick it up yourself. I've bought a few lenses overthere myself (second
hand lenses) and did not regret it.

Bye.
