Manual mode is what I do mostly with them. They work predictably and consistently that way, for me. More than one and P-TTL is pretty much useless. BTW: I cleaned all the battery contacts with a contact cleaner last night and some random trouble I was having went away. Used a q-tip to reach the bottom of the battery compartment. -bmw -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

James, You'll have to give it a workout to understand all the features. I bought one several years ago and still need the manual. Regards, Bob S. I second that. Lots of features, non-obvious UI. Work great when you figure 'em out though. Also, give all the contacts (eg inside the battery compartment) a good cleaning. My 540's have been acting up lately and I found I had to clean off the battery contacts thoroughly to fix that. Batteries too. -bmw On 11-07-11 11:02 AM, Bob Sullivan wrote: James, You'll have to give it a workout to understand all the features. I bought one several years ago and still need the manual. Congrats! I hope to step up to the 540 some day. Still using the 360 myself.
