Re: Enablement: Pentax DA 21mm f/3.2
It s one of my favourite lenses, I like the compact size - it makes it easy to carry. The lens prices on the Pentax Australai web site do seem very good. Their price on the DA*16-50 mm looks very tempting. I visited that Conservatory when in Australia with my oldest daughter in 2002. Seeing it again brought back some nice memories. Enjoy your new lens! A nice collection taken with the oft maligned 21mm. I like the lens and use it when needed. In the collection were photos I might have taken and some I would not have seen. Unfortunately for me the one I liked best were the ones I might not have taken. pdml-requ...@pdml.net wrote: Message: 9 Date: Thu, 25 Apr 2013 08:57:32 +1000 From: Peter McIntosh To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List Subject: Enablement: Pentax DA 21mm f/3.2 Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 I've lusted after this lens for a while, and have been keeping an eye on eBay for a decent version. Don, I agree that this is a nice set of images, but you say the lens is "oft maligned"? I don't recall seeing any derogatory comments about this lens. For me, it is pretty much my standard walking-around lens when in a new city. stan On Apr 25, 2013, at 11:34 AM, Don Guthrie wrote: > A nice collection taken with the oft maligned 21mm... > > pdml-requ...@pdml.net wrote: >> Message: 9 >> Date: Thu, 25 Apr 2013 08:57:32 +1000 >> From: Peter McIntosh >> To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List >> Subject: Enablement: Pentax DA 21mm f/3.2 >> . . . >> Here are some sample from the day. >> >> https://picasaweb.google.com/118019465978120155275/1stShotsWithPentaxDA21mmf32Lens?authkey=Gv1sRgCO-z29vBvfLyRw# >> >> All shot raw with the K5, converted in PWP 6.0 with minor contrast and >> sharpening. >> >> I like this lens alot. >> >> Ciao, >> >> Pete Mac in Melbourne > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Mostly I find it it either too wide or not wide enough, and it is very slow (but also very small).
