If anyone tried to email me yesterday about any of the gear I'm selling, please contact me again. An email server glitch yesterday afternoon deleted all the day's mail before I could read it. BTW: A PZ-1p went for about $320.00 on eBay a week ago. -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com

I've been eyeing those Z-20's nad Z-50's for a little while but have held back. I may just have to get one of 'em. Mark

I don't think that is true. As far as I can tell, it's the exact same camera. In fact, I sent an MZ-5n (Europe/Asia version of the U.S.-labeled ZX-5n) in to Pentax USA for a CLA/repair last year with no problems. I think they would have to send it to Canada to be repaired. That might account for the price difference. Mark

RE: FS Friday: Last call on this gear
I bought my PZ-1p for $325USD on Ebay in mint/mint condition with original box and manual over a year ago. It was a replacement Pentax had sent the seller to a warranty issue and he never used it except once to verify that it worked. From all appearances it seems to be as he said. This seller admittedly shot himself in the foot since he would only accept money orders in the mail for payment, which is why I'm guessing the price was this low. My point being it's really hard to say if digital is the real culprit here. I just did a bit of a look around at prices last night and prices don't really seem to have dropped that much except for that ME that Ann just spoke for :) Dave > > I remember the going prices for mint Z-1p were like CA$4xx > recently on eBay. > I thought they would worth a little more as well, but obviously > the digital > thing kills many film products. >
Re: FS Friday: Last call on this gear
I remember the going prices for mint Z-1p were like CA$4xx recently on eBay. I thought they would worth a little more as well, but obviously the digital thing kills many film products. Regards, Alan Chan http://www.pbase.com/wlachan I already have a PZ-1p, or I'd be quite interested. Have there really been no takers so far at that price? I briefly put my PZ-1p (EX+) plus grip strap up for sale for $425 when I was considering switching to the MZ-S. I had no takers, and eventually decided I'd rather keep the PZ-1p anyway. I thought it was a good deal, as KEH has been selling PZ-1p's in EX and EX+ condition for $450-$485 or so. But is even the PZ-1p in so little demand on the list that prices have fallen this much? BTW, do you know why KEH consistently sells Z-1p cameras for significantly cheaper than PZ-1p cameras, even in the same condition? They are the exact same camera model, correct? Hi, Mark, I already have a PZ-1p, or I'd be quite interested. Have there really been no takers so far at that price? I briefly put my PZ-1p (EX+) plus grip strap up for sale for $425 when I was considering switching to the MZ-S. I had no takers, and eventually decided I'd rather keep the PZ-1p anyway. BTW, do you know why KEH consistently sells Z-1p cameras for significantly cheaper than PZ-1p cameras, even in the same condition? They are the exact same camera model, correct? Joe This stuff goes to eBay this weekend if there are no takers from the PDML. Z-1p in almost-like-new condition. With body cap, manual, box and packing. AND extra battery. $300.00 ME in KEH "bargain" condition; everything works but there are some *small* dents on the right side of the pentaprism housing. $40.00 for an ideal "carry everywhere" second camera. Near MINT K2 with SMC 50 f/1.4 (the original "K" series lens - 52mm filter size) also in virtually perfect condition with Pentax 52mm lens cap. Includes original owner's manual and Pentax everready case. This camera and lens could go on the shelf of a camera shop and pass for new stock. Lovely stuff. $250.00 -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
