Might cost you or me $10K for travel, but his profile says he's a grad student in Palo Alto, CA. Almost all of those beautiful, exotic locations are practically in his back yard. I Googled the locations from the captions. Most of them seemed to be within 20 - 50 miles. Yosemite is 180 some miles away, and the farthest point I noticed he'd traveled was Page AZ. That's less than 1000 miles. If you already knew your locations, you could do that on a 3 day weekend from the SF Bay area. If he's willing to start early and stay late, he could get most of what he's got as a dedicated weekend shooter and not spend more than a couple nights away from home. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

I think the mental process becomes all the time and effort I take to make good photos and if I only had a 645D to record the image at the end. . . Unless I suddenly went back to school and became an orthodontist, however, it's no the kind of money I can really justify. The bio on his web site says he's a doctoral candidate in engineering and the USA is his second country. He describes himself on the blog linked to his website as a temporary software enginner. http://www.harkleephotography.com/biography.html I wouldn't be surprised if he got a stipend from his first country and generous parents to supplement any earnings he makes as a grad student. I don't think he waited for the 645D to come along before starting his photography business either, so there might be some way he's managing to write it off his taxes as a business expense.
