It was taken at dusk in an ugly day. The artificial
light and the movement made the tones and rendition
(taken with handheld digicam).

Yes, it's a nightmare building (used until a couple of
years ago). To be honest, the treatment was due to
available shooting conditions, but I like what I got
too.

I should really think before I post. There's no way you could 
understand, it has to do with a Photo show I attended recently.
One of the photographers works was a tiny out focus picture of a beach 
house. It was so out of focus that if if weren't for the
title you wouldn't know what it was. Printed in very low contrast, and 
sepia toned, (think a muddy splotch). She was asking
$75.00 for a matted print. Your photo bears a certain superficial 
similarity. OTOH your photo IS scary, especially when you
know what it is. Hers was just sad, in so many ways.

The link works for me, but the photo doesn't. It does look like an ancient 
picture that spent years in someone's wallet. And I understand the desire to 
communicate the ugliness of the building and what it stands for, but I think 
you could find a better, more aesthetically interesting way to accomplish that.
