RE: PAW and introduction
Hi, David, Don't know what everyone else said. I'm at the point where I'm trying to catch up on PAWs that are a few days old, and I'm just deleting the responses unread. So, first, lovely shot. If you've been lurking here for a bit, you'll know that there are several amazing bug and bird guys and gals here. Looks like you'll be right at home here, though. Second, welcome aboard. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Lots of OT stuff, heavy volume, but lots to learn about Pentax and photography in general. Just a terrific community. Look forward to seeing more PAWs and PUGs from you. cheers, frank "The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds. The pessimist fears it is true." -J. Constructive criticism? I'm a soon-to-be uni student from Sydney, with an interest in insects, frogs and other animals and nature. Recently got the *ist D, have used the K1000 a tiny bit, but have mainly been a digital user, using the Kodak DC4800 for a few years. For my macro I'm currently using the above lens (saving up for the pentax FA* 200mm f/4 ED(IF) macro which by all accounts is an awesome lens, although I'm sure the earlier A* version would keep me happy (-:), or bellows and a 50mm f/2 for mucking round with flies' eyes. Also saving for a flash. Hope to participate in PAW and maybe PUG (looking out for some insects to do portraits of (-:) Thanks for reading, David // _ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=dept/bcomm&pgmarket=en-ca&RU=http%3a%2f%2fjoin.msn.com%2f%3fpage%3dmisc%2fspecialoffers%26pgmarket%3den-ca

Hi! Welcome and be ready for a ride of your life... Lovely creature. You definitely seem to know your way in macro photography. Thanks for posting. And welcome again... Boris (from finally somewhat sunny Israel)

They make an awful noise when aggravated too. http://members.ozemail.com.au/~audiob/temp/PA316242.jpg http://members.ozemail.com.au/~audiob/temp/_IGP0899m.jpg Rob Studdert HURSTVILLE AUSTRALIA Tel +61-2-9554-4110 UTC(GMT) +10 Hours [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://members.ozemail.com.au/~distudio/publications/ Pentax user since 1986, PDMLer since 1998

Also saving for a flash. I've found the A200/4 Macro a little long for some small insect images, I prefer shorter lenses although as you say the FA200/4 Macro is reputably spectacular. > Hope to participate in PAW and maybe PUG (looking out for some insects > to do portraits of (-:) Looking forward to seeing them. Good brokeh, nice composition, etc., etc. I have that lens too, and I haven't tried it yet. Got to get out and try some macros. You've inspired me. Keep at it. And welcome aboard! Marnie aka Doe :-)
