That’s actually a California/golden poppy, like the ones at the start of the 
set.

is some kind of lantana but dont quote me) - might crop it a bit tighter

Thanks Larry, Dan & Paul. I use PSE13.

If you download the photo at full size from Flickr, then open it with an 
image viewer of your choice zooming to full screen, the 90° angles of 
the intersections are preserved. Much more detail can be seen too. The 
harsh light is exactly as it was.

Wow! What an interesting Dragon! ;) The shape of the head and the 
"sawed-off" spikes look rather unusual.
Also, the apparent smoothness of the skin is contrasted by the wall 
porosity.


It looks like the camera focused on the wall. Fortunately, the DoF saved 
the shot.
