yeah -- plain-text email has an option called 'Format=flowed' (which is
turned on by default in Thunderbird) where even if lines appear to have broken,
as long as you didn't type a return, the lines will be rejoined at the
receiving end -- assuming the recipient's email program is up to snuff

i don't use the HTML email composition features in Thunderbird, however if you
are composing HTML email (as implied by selctive font sizing) you should be
able to insert proper links, rather than relying solely on the recipient email
program recognizing URLs

Re: PESO - Just resting ?

2011-07-04 Thread John Sessoms

You should be able to set it with the Config Editor.

Select Tools/Options/Advanced and click the Config Editor button. Click
the button that says I'll be careful. I promise.

In the Filter: box type mail.compose.wrap.

One of the Preference Names should be mail.compose.wrap_to_window_width.

It will likely default to false. If you double click the preference,
it should change to true and the next time you compose a message the
text you type will fill across the window.

I think.

why would you want it to? it's much easier to read shorter lines; this,

the long answer is that to reach this setting go to Preferences

filter area you will see just a few; resist the temptation to fiddle

I agree totally! (though I still like James Joyce)

But I wanted -ideally_ to selectively adjust the size of fonts within

Good to know ... Now next question did they have that thing for sale?

Gosh with the Pythonesque peso title I didn't think anyone would think
he was alive - yup it was for sale - but I didn't ask the price.

I did crop it tight - I only took one shot... rather stealthily...

Well, I've been really enjoying Thunderbird - totally wonderful...
until just now when I can't figure out how to write all the way to
the margin of the window so that the links, as above, will fit onto
one line for hot linking.

In netscape, I could reduce the font size on a line by line basis..

Can't figure out how to do it here. anyone?
