Interesting. Looks like a magazine ad. Whether you wanted that effect...

You took this in landscape orientation then turned it on it's side to
portrait, right?

Most probably you'd find a Norwegian or two behind a Norwegian door.

I like it, but it's kinda strange. I would not expect to see a door
lying on the ground, nor a bunch of dried leaves mixed with grass
behind a closed door. If I think about it, it doesn't make any sense,
and the strangeness of the juxtaposition is what strikes me. It has a
 strong visual impact.

Thanks, Attila, Tim and others.

I think you see the same as I do, Attila, and Tims reference to the grave or
underworld is one of the possible interpretations I had in mind. I like
pictures that are open for interpretation.

The title here was just a reaction to the american fence-thread that poped up

I went back and looked at it again as I like the idea, some of the
work I'm in progress on right now is on a similar visual concept.
It's the strangeness of the juxtaposition that creates an interesting
expression and is worth spending some time to study and react to.

The tonal values are very good, particularly in the subtleties in
white of the door. Nice job!

I don't know Dag.

Ok. What do I see? I see a white door at the ground. Brown leaves, ok, it is
fall. Where does this door lead us? Down into the ground? I'm curious. I'd
like to open it. But that's kind of scary. What is behind. It is white,
almost like a coffin.
Where does this lead me? Death? Hum, don't want to go there, not yet.

Ok. You got me thinking.
