gallery is put together, I'll get the new themes for next year up at

The best way is to reduce the dimensions of the image. Dropping 10% of the
pixels off the long end can make quite a difference in file size.

Well, the first thing to do is make sure you strip off all the extraneous
metadata; that takes a big bite out of the 75k limit. Do a Save for Web
rather than a Save As (or whatever equivalent commands your editior uses).

For some reason I was told that I could not submit a file smaller than 1k.
It sounds like a very good idea to test the actual file size, but the size
was 74k.
So, I think something is wrong in the submission procedure.

But don't worry, it was just a crappy image.

I guess I'll have to hang on to the PC until I get my hands on a decent
film scanner. Maybe an *ist-D with a slide duplicator would do the
 trick.

I have been doing a lot of slide duping with the istD of late. Interstingly,
with all the lenses I have, the only combination I can make work is the 77mm
with a #1 close up filter on the front of it, and I hade to make a front
bellows out of paper to sheild the light path, as the slide duplicator
bellows isn't long enough.
At some point, I will probably make something that I can put on the front of
my 6x7 bellows, as that should give enough draw to allow for duping without
the close up filter.

 Hi
Are you guys saying, that Pentax Bellows adn slide copier A will not work

No, I don't know where you read that.
However

Because of the prism overhang, you want to put a short extension tube onto
the camera before mounting the bellows.
Alternately, you can remove the mount from the bellows, put it onto the
camera, and then put the bellows onto the mount.
After that, it is just a matter of finding a lens/lens to focal plane/slide
to lens length combination that will allow for full frame viewing.
The slide duplicator attachment rod is somewhat too short to allow the slide
to be far enough away from the lens to allow this with the equipment I have,
so I tossed a close up lens on to make up the difference.

Then they might be cliché. My point is that a photo is not a cliché
BECAUSE it is a photo of a flower or a cat. To be a cliché, a photo
of a flower or a cat has to be conventional or, if you want, the
repetition of what is already seen all around. If your photo of a
flower is perceived as original, as unconventional, then it
probably escapes the definition of cliché.

I don't know who is Anne Geddes... She makes cat calendars?
