Re: Question: Browsers and color management
Mark: Version 12.16 is based on Presto. Version 15.x is based on Chromium Strictly speaking, since Google forked Webkit and made "Blink", as far as I understood, Opera 15.x + will be based on Blink. You can read people's impression of the first preview: http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/2013/05/28/the-next-version-of-opera-available-now Google for the more recent reaction (I feel it is still somewhat sour, - many features what were characteristic of Opera are gone). By the way... I know that Opera is planning on switching from their own Presto browser engine to the open source Webkit engine (used by Safari and Chrome). Good point. I just tested Safari on iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4, and it does NOT support ICC profiles. >> Here's a test page: http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
Re: Question: Browsers and color management
Mark, Keep in mind that on Android, none of the browsers that I've tried (Firefox, Chrome, Opera) supports color management. I don't know how it is on iPhones, but as far as I know, all browsers there are using the same "kit" - for the core (made by Apple), so, they are all likely behave similarly with respect to color management. Re: Question: Browsers and color management
I'm running Firefox 22.0. The results my system supports ICC version 2 profiles only. Do I need to do anything outside of Firefox?
