In truth, we're a bit more mature than the others. We've been around for a
dozen years and wore out the hand-wringing thing a while back. I think we've
learned that there will inevitably be problems with anything as complex as a
DSLR, and sometimes we have to be a bit patient while those problems are
sorted out. More importantly, we have other things to talk about: beer,
coffee, guns, personal issues, etc. Oh, and pictures. We actually talk about
pictures much more than we talk about the cameras that take the pictures.
That's a healthy thing.

I was overwhelmed at the number of messages I got every day when I signed up 
here. For a few months I just deleted them. Then I started reading. I saw that 
it's actually a pretty small group, sharing photos and talking about them, and 
that, as Boris said in welcoming the newcomer recently, that you're very 
friendly. And I would add, generous.

Actually it's a pretty large group, posting under a small number of 
names, frank for example is at least two people and Cotty is a whole 
group.  I'm not sure what Dave Brooks is but based on his knowledge of
