Thanks for the tips - Was : Differences between the *istD, DS, DS2?
Thanks for the tips everybody, especially the part about the DL,DL2, K100D and K110D having inferior non prism finders, I know I would not want those at any price. I found a *istDS for $329.99 new in box with USA warranty and went with that. NO, it's not want I really want which would be a much higher resolution FF camera with aperture cam sensor and AS, but for $329 price point, I can accept those shortcommings and at this time. I have a business use for it already so its very low cost is already justified even if I really dont even like it in the long run... If anybody else is interested in one, I think the vendor has more of them at the same price, just let me know and I can forward the information jco -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net

Sounds like you got a good deal. The DS is a good body, especially for that kind of price. -- Bruce Monday, January 29, 2007, 2:55:00 PM, you wrote: JCOC Thanks for the tips everybody, especially the JCOC part about the DL,DL2, K100D and K110D having JCOC inferior non prism finders, I know I would not want those JCOC at any price. RE: Thanks for the tips - Was : Differences between the *istD, DS, DS2?
Yes, I was pleasantly surprised to find these going so for cheap, I guess the K100D and K100D put a hurting on the earlier models but its a well kept secret that the K100D and K110D are not as good in the finder dept. as the D/DS/DS2/K!0D so if that wasnt so commonly unknown, I doubt the DS would be seeing prices as low as they are. I should add, I scoured for about 4 days, and this price is by far the best right now for the DS. The DS2 are difficult to find and about $200-$250 more when I did find them, I just couldnt justify that only for the larger color LCD but I would have liked one. there is also an easy to find Samsung the same as the DS2 but its going for just as much as the DS2s. K10D's are about $500 MORE at this point which may well be worth it but not for me right now. I want an aperture cam sensor for that price! jco -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bruce Dayton Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 7:09 PM To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List Subject: Re: Thanks for the tips - Was : Differences between the *istD, DS,DS2? I just sold mine (used) on eBay for $450 + shipping. Enjoy it - you've got a good camera capable of some great images! -- Cheers, [EMAIL PROTECTED] MichaelHamilton.ca -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
