If you want to point to an ebay listing you could just enter the title line in quotes and one could cut and paste into search box OR the item number A nice idea even if you supply the whole location link as well and remember, there are actually some people on some servers (we won't say what server hehe) who can't hot link anything and have to cut and paste anyway. annsan
Truncated links (was Re: eBay Listings)
Shaun Canning: Check out the auctions at: http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItemsuserid=scann i01include=0since=-1sort=3rows=50 Sorry if the link truncatees. I can't set my page width any higher. A handy tip is to place long links between and marks. Several e-mail programs then will recognize that it's one continuing URL even if it's broken over two or more lines. Compare this: http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItemsuserid=scann i01include=0since=-1sort=3rows=50 http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItemsuserid=scann i01include=0since=-1sort=3rows=50 Note that there is a line break at the end of line one in both cases. And, when you compose the email, you can make the font smaller so it'll fit on one line. Re: Truncated links (was Re: eBay Listings)
Well, I learned something today! Thanks. Both of the top two URLs worked for me. eBay opened the 'scann' sale window. However, with the third eBay URL you listed, the one that was broken into 3 lines, I got the following message: Input Error There was an error in your input. Please go back and ensure that all fields are properly filled in. keith whaley Anders Hultman wrote: Shaun Canning: Check out the auctions at: http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItemsuserid=scann i01include=0since=-1sort=3rows=50 Sorry if the link truncatees. Most email programs will line break when receiving as needed, and often they will recognize the full URL within the un-line-broken message coming in and maintain them when word wrapping the message for display. Honestly, I don't think that any of the approaches we've discussed will work all of the time, and some of them will work better or worse with different email agent software. TTYL, DougF KG4LMZ

It is trivial to use and works great. alex
