Thanks John. I'm thinking of taking it apart so I can see where the electronics are to avoid them when adding screws to hold the little door down. Or reducing the spring action by snipping the springs back a little. I can't use it at all otherwise, the door will not hold the batteries down any more. I'm tempted to screw in a metal piece on either side to hold the door down. I read on some forums that someone stuck a piece of metal where the body tabs should be by getting it hot and melting the plastic to insert it. Purchased one from Craigslist very cheaply due to this issue ... and a missing red plastic ... after buying a replacement plastic, still only $35 in the unit. I agree wrt the AF360FGZ. I had one that lasted over a decand but a newer one saw very little use and the door will not close tightly enough to maintain contact. I only use it as a supplemental flash indoors since the only way I can get the door closed tightly enough to maintain contact is to put a large spring clamp on it.
