It is larger than that. Without non-US developers, Postgres would be
less than half what it is today, meaning that US Postgres users need to
thank the non-US developers for their work over the past 12 years of
community Postgres development. It is US people who are benefitting
more from the relationship, not non-US people.

This is true of many open source projects.

Wow! Someone's email program is really borked. This message has
obviously been stuck somewhere since the 19th century.

Hey buddy, I know what I, a non-American, have done for this project.
What have you done?

What's next? Only help white folks?

This guy doesn't really deserve being responded to. Just ignore him.

Yes, as I was hitting the send key I wondered if he was just a troll
but he managed to hit a few of my buttons. In fact, I wouldn't be
surprised if he wasn't even reading this list. I removed him from this
reply.

Cheers.

I don't think anyone should take this seriously. If your job is doing
something that someone else can do almost as well, you're going to
find yourself out of work once in a while. Hoarding trivial
information is not going to help you with that - quite the opposite I
think.

Someone should point out to this "Senior Engineer" that America was
built by foreigner labor. Heterogeneity is our greatest asset. But
it's not going to be me because I think the whole thing is just a
troll or an email harvester. I'm not sure which.

Without non-US developers, Postgres would be _much_ less than half what it
is today, just as it would be much less than half of what it is today
without US developers. Cooperation, like trade, is a positive sum game.

All are benefitting. The notion that someone is "winning" and therefor
someone else must be "losing" is the OP's false thesis.
