He may just be crazy not know what these things are worth.. Most of his sales were $25 dollar Champion/Gennett Country and Western records and if you are looking for a particular title or record 25 bucks is not that much to pop for. How he came up with 12,500 for that Victor Sousa record I just can't imagineā¦ On May 16, 2011, at 11:27 PM, Don Dellmann wrote: - Original Message - From: Vinyl Visions vinyl.visi...@live.com To: phono-l@oldcrank.org Sent: Monday, May 16, 2011 10:13 PM Subject: Re: [Phono-L] You gotta love this... I checked his feedback - back to January of this year and found a very peculiar situation. One buyer named lgirmscher has supposedly bought and left positive feedback for 79 records since January 13 and paid anywhere from $24.99 - $83.52 each. The peculiar part of this is that lgirmscher had a rating of (209) purchases on Jan. 13 and on May 13 after buying at least 79 items, his rating is still (209)... what's up with that? There are other multiple purchasers, but this one stands out as odd. I can't imagine buying any records at his prices, but someone bought one for $750 - left negative feedback, claiming the record was a repro and eBay backed this seller. The feedback number isn't strange if he did indeed buy only from this gentleman. You can but 5000 items, if they're all from the same buyer/seller it counts your feedback score as one. However, not buying or selling anything to or from anyone else in that time period IS very very suspicious. I would also think that if someone is going to try and move an item for four or five figures they could have some better pictures, at least a description of the particular item, and some sort of grading. I mean even I could scan some photos of labels out of a book and go on eBay claiming to sell rare records. hi all kurt has bought from him and had left some bad feedback or so it shows. i just got two rare records from him but not at the prices he had. he does take offers and if they are fair you get the records. i have not had any problems but i do agree that most are not museum quality but some are rare and a good price if you know what the real value is. zono In a message dated 5/16/2011 11:14:13 P.M. Good morning again all, Found the last name. It is The Record Ranger. Richard Tussey. It 's public. I knew he was near St. Louis. This is odd as Richard knows what these are worth. He has very poor eye sight so one not prone to fishing. I split a label collection with him years ago. Other than a few very hard to get labels he has, I have them too. I would sell them all for the price of just one of those records. Mike Oldcranky On Tue, May 17, 2011 at 7:06 AM, Mike Stitt smst...@gmail.com wrote: Good moring all. He describes the record as I CAN GURANTEE THERE MUSEUM QUALITY AS BEING THE RAREST AND NOT SOLD ALL MESSED UP . There is no grading either. So to protect himself this record is museum quality only in the sense of being rare not necessarily museum quality as being a grade E+ record. What he means by not sold as all messed up could mean a lot of things. -Original Message- From: Zonophone2006 zonophone2...@aol.com To: phono-l phono-l@oldcrank.org Sent: Tue, May 17, 2011 5:34 am Subject: Re: [Phono-L] You gotta love this...
