Sorry for miss-spelling Charley's name. No offense intended. I just
happened to see an ad for the show and heard his name mentioned.

Even thought this was an unusual/weird show for showcasing Charley and his
collection and his passion and his extensive knowledge, I thought that
everyone would want to know.

The minute long one was the PREVIEW I posted last week. So... Charley (by

Charley's segment?

Hoping it goes on web one day. I don't have a smart phone so can't watch it

As far as I could tell, watching it on my iPad, it was still only a short
segment and not much longer than the one viewable on the web. I don't think it
was the entire thing. I talked to Charley yesterday and he said he would send
me a copy to post on our website, when he obtains one - so, keep checking our
site. His earlier video is already uploaded and available, along with Merle
Sprintzen and her Little Wonders, Kinney Rorrer's PBS interview about Charlie
Poole and others:

I do not know anyone in this area that gets the Science Channel. There is a Sci

preview and would love to see him in the full 5 minute segment. Some day maybe.

I agree with you. First of all--there was not enough of Charlie Hummel's
collection at all. And second of all--his collection should never have been
combined with the creepy collections of weird people and announced by a
ghoul. I wonder if he knew that the "science" channel was going to
associate his collection with crazy people. Or am I just being a crazy
phonograph
collector myself?

I don't have broadcast TV anymore, I have Roku, the video streaming player with
tons of channels. I was able to see the episode of Oddities with Charley on it,
I had no idea how gigantic his collection was. I read a Daily Mail article from
2011 in which a guy died, and when they went to go through his estate
discovered
he had 300 phonographs. They thought that might be the largest collection
known.
I would say definitely not.
