Wow, the phono market is really depressed right now.  I remember when a lot of 
these machines went for twice the listed price.

You are correct, even some of the big ticket, rare and ornate items as well. I 
can remember a few years ago, a couple of Herzog FULL Barrel Tiger Oak Cylinder 
Cabinets selling on Ebay for nearly double what the one at the Stanton Auction 
sold for.
