This is the swedish version of the manual so yes ut uses Introduktion
instead of introduction becouse this is the swedish word for it.

The manual is only partly translated and is therefor creating some
confusion.

[PHP-DOC] #27134 [NEW]: PHP CLI does not cache results of file_exists()

Bug description: PHP CLI does not cache results of file_exists()

Description:

It seems that results from file_exists() or similar are not being cached
with PHP-CLI. Since I think this is intended behavior this should be
reflected in the manual.

Expected result:

on creating/deleting /tmp/foo the result of file_exists() should not

I've tested with PHP 5 and it caches in some situations.

If you start running the script without the file, it will output false
till you create it.
If you then delete the file, it continues to echo true.

[PHP-DOC] pspell documentation fix

2004-02-03 Thread Vlad Krupin
Hello, doc team!

I've been reminded that pspell is now available on windows, so I wanted
to fix the documentation accordingly. The probelm is that I haven't
touched any of it in ahem... a couple of years or so, and I see things
have changed a bit.

The change was trivial, so I hope I did it right :) :
http://cvs.php.net/diff.php/phpdoc/en/reference/pspell/reference.xml?login=2r1=1.7r2=1.8ty=u
The question I have is how do you propagate these changes to other
translations? It used to be just wait for the translator to notice the
change and, when he/she has time, apply it to their respective
translation. Is it still done the same way?

Thanks!

Vlad

P.S. I am not subscribed, so please cc me on replies.

it could be useful to specify that this function is available for
windows since PHP 4.3.2 ?

[PHP-DOC] #24323 [Com]: set_time_limit() does not behave as described

2004-02-03 Thread jake67890 at hotmail dot com
 ID: 24323
Comment by: jake67890 at hotmail dot com
Reported By: spagmoid at yahoo dot com
 Status: Open
 Bug Type: Documentation problem
 Operating System: WinXP
 PHP Version: 4.3.2
 New Comment:

furthermore, the error is confusing when a script times out during a
large file upload.

Error displayed is: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of X seconds
exceeded where X is the value of max_execution_time. However in the
case of a file upload terminating, the max_input_time setting is
actually the configuration variable that must be changed.

Previous Comments:

[2003-06-24 20:47:53] spagmoid at yahoo dot com

Description:

The docs state that sleep() doesn't count against the total execution
time. At least on Windows, this is not true.

See the user comments in the manual page.

Could you please also take care of word spacing ? The indenting need to

Medhi, thanks for noticing!

Sorry - I have not really been involved with phpdoc lately. I don't even
have PHP or PHP doc sources anywhere. Or a way to validate an xml file
for that matter. And no time to install anything that'd be needed for
that :(

I just wanted to sneak in a small fix hoping it was trivial enough not
to break anything. Looks like I was wrong.

I guess, I'll just ask somebody on the list to make the change for me
next time.

Vlad

P.S. I thought that being uneployed creates a lot of free time to work
on things I enjoy, like PHP... Boy, was I wrong! I am busier unemployed
than when I had a regular job! Duh! Thanks again
