[PHP-DOC] #30511 [Opn->Csd]: Confusion between the verb extend and the extends keyword
ID: 30511 Updated by: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reported By: jmmolina at free dot fr -Status: Open +Status: Closed Bug Type:Documentation problem PHP Version: Irrelevant New Comment: This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better. This is fixed in CVS since 2004-10-17. Previous Comments: [2004-10-21 15:20:54] jmmolina at free dot fr Description: In the « Language Reference > The Classes and Objects (PHP 5) > The Basics » chapter, the author writes about class inheritance using the extends keyword, but it mixes the verb extend and the extends keyword. The section name is extend and it should be extends, like the keyword because the other sections are named as the keywords they explain : class, new... Second the first sentence, « A class can inherit methods and members of another class by using the extend keyword in the declaration. », is not correct as the keyword is extends, with a s, not extend. -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=30511&edit=1

Re: [PHP-DOC] Can I change encoding ?
Hi, I have encoding iso-8859-1 present in all XML files... But for Romanian it will better work with iso-8859-2 ! Can I change the encoding to iso-8859-2 in XMLs ? Yes, the hungarian files also use the latin-2 (iso-8859-2) encoding. Regards, Goba

[2003-07-18 01:33:41] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Added brief docs (as per php.ini-dist) for these at php.net/session but am leaving this open until this strange mystery is better documented. Anyone, feel free :) http://cvs.php.net/cvs.php/phpdoc/en/reference/session/ini.xml The whole session section needs an overhaul but that's another story. [2003-05-03 10:52:55] jhlavon at email dot cz When I setup "register_globals=off", PHP script produces warning, which isn't explained in documentation, same as probably next "hidden" setup options. Best regards, Jiri Message: Warning: Unknown(): Your script possibly relies on a session side-effect which existed until PHP 4.2.3. Please be advised that the session extension does not consider global variables as a source of data, unless register_globals is enabled. You can disable this functionality and this warning by setting session.bug_compat_42 or session.bug_compat_warn to off, respectively. in Unknown on line 0 -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=23465&edit=1
