Re: [PHP-DOC] moving doc.php.net to pb11

2007-04-28 Thread Sean Coates
As everyone may or may not have noticed, doc.php.net now points to pb11.

btw, the phpweb rsync isn't probably working as this page is broken:
 http://doc.php.net.phpdoc.info/php/orphan_notes.php

Fixed. This was a permissions problem

So, I think everything is working now.
Cronjobs were juggled a bit, today, and I fixed permissions and moved
old cvs cruft out of the way.

Please let me (us) know if you notice anything broken.

Don't forget to copy the latest version of the users sqlite database

Well the login system use a local cache and cvs access tests, so it
should be ok to log in directly through:

http://doc.php.net.phpdoc.info/login.php

That at least gives possibilities to check the admin zone.

So now that this machine is not located far away and administered

should we bug for server-related problems, names, NAMES! :)

Things have been crazy here. Work's keeping me extremely busy with

Hopefully things should get back to normal soon, I hope! ;)

Yell and I'll update where the CNAME point's to to point to
pb11.php.net.

Regarding the orphan notes problem that Nuno brought up, at the last
minute we consolidated docweb to use the central CVS sources (for
phpdoc-all, phpweb, livedocs, etc.) on pb11 because before it was
checking out its own and inserting those php manual rsyncs. This
change broke the orphan notes but it's now being fixed by Sean.

Thanks :)

The login redirects back to doc.php.net now but no matter, this isn't
a real concern and is something to worry about after the move.

Regarding access, currently the following setup exists:

 Users: Mehdi, Philip*, Sean*, Systems*
 Root access: *

Who else has user/shell access in the future will likely be a case-by-
case basis as it comes up, this has not yet been planned out. In
theory we should have little need for shell access as everything is
in in CVS but in reality that isn't 100% true, and of course there
are administrative tasks to perform. At least now we have a few more
people to bug, people that can easily be hunted down and found.

Oh! I thought I commited the patch to configure the host for such
redirections when ./configure'ing. Boah, doesn't really matter anyway.
