Re: [pinhole-discussion] I have a question.
Hello Travis, congrats on finding this list! :) Guy Glorieux has recently successfully done a wall size pinhole images of Montreal scene with paper negatives. There also has been a lot of discussion on paper negatives here on list recently. It is very nice that you are excited about pinhole photography because of cost-effectiveness etc. But ultimate use depends on your own objective and the point you want to convey. One faction of pinholers seek to achieve ultimate sharpness possible and the other is content with the softness that pinhole can give. Having experienced, a LF, a pinhole and a 35mm, I would say that all media have their own place and none is a replacement of other because of costs involved. But, if the cost is a limiting factor to enjoying photography, one can develop a liking to Pinholes and really see beauty in them. You will be amazed to see some of the photographs in World Wide pinhole day (WPPD) gallery this year. -achal - Original Message - From: "ROBERTSON,TRAVIS J" To: Sent: Thursday, July 25, 2002 2:30 PM Subject: [pinhole-discussion] I have a question. > I have a passion for photography, but the cost of large format cameras and > enlargers prevent me from doing the work I want to. It is my understanding that Kurt has stopped making cameras, but looking at his web site he might be back in the business. I just sent him a e-mail so maybe I'll find out some up to date info. Re: [pinhole-discussion] Pinhole panoramic camera
I have been trying to get a pinhole camera from the site listed below with out any luck. The last thing that I heard was that the company was doing some sort of reorganization and that my camera would be coming soon. That was a couple months ago, and my last few emails have gone unanswered. They have not taken any money from me and in fact the last time I heard from them they were giving me a great deal because it had taken them so long to get me my camera. I would get in touch with them before I ordered any thing off the web. The answer is yes, you can make them as large as you can get film or paper for. Guillermo
RE: [pinhole-discussion] Pinhole panoramic camera
Hi, my name is Travis and I wanted to know if you know if their are limitations on how large of a pinhole camera can you make? I do not want to use film, just photopaper, so I can just develop the image. I want to make large prints and will you get distortions? Thanks. [pinhole-discussion] I have a question.
I have a passion for photography, but the cost of large format cameras and enlargers prevent me from doing the work I want to. Today I found your web site and I have that excited feeling about pinhole photography. You see I want to create very large photos, but I have a question. Can you create a very large pinhole camera and just use photo-paper instead of film? Are their limitations to this? I have a dark room and I can make the prints. Thanks. Travis.

Tom: The Indian Doll display is now open to the public. I think now would be a good time for us to start the plans for a 2003 meet at the museum. I will need information to give to our new CEO of the H.H. Bennett Museum; The H.H. Bennett Museum Foundation; and the Wisconsin Historical Society. Re: [pinhole-discussion] Tim Rudman Book
Have you tried Amazon.UK? Even though they are owned by the same company, there seems to be no real connection -- the UK service has many books that are not available via the US Amazon. I have ordered from them in the past and received very fast shipping (3 to 4 days, which surprised me).
