[pinhole-discussion] Paper Film Means Long Exposure?

2001-01-11 Thread Bob & Jennifer

Hi,

Thanks for all the posts regarding shooting onto photographic paper.
Seems like everyone agrees that the paper is ISO 6.

I just wanted to cross check my calculations with some of you
regarding exposure times with it. I am using a Leonardo Super Wide
(aperture of . 010). Seems like that is an approximate f stop of
186. Somewhere I have seen an exposure calculation that you mulitply
times your f64 reading. I see this as 8.7.

I have seen recommendations of using ASA 400 film and using 4 seconds
as a good starting point. If I have done the math correctly that
means my ASA 6 (paper) should be exposed for 4 minutes.

Now if I ignore that and just use the 8.7 exposure calculation, that
means my correct exposure should be 18 minutes.

Can someone give me a recommended starting point for full sun?

Thanks,
bob peak

[pinhole-discussion] Recommended Exposures onto Paper

2000-12-27 Thread Bob & Jennifer

Hi,

I am new to the digest and to pinholing. I have successfully made a
nice little super wide PinHolga and am on to a superwide Leonardo
now. I would like to throw some photographic paper into the Leonardo
to do some test exposures and was wondering if anyone has woked out
an ASA equivalent for photographic papers.

I will be using Ilford FB paper.

Any help is always greatly appreciated.

Also, did anyone notice the fantastic pinhole photos in the
September (I think) issue of Aperture mag? This is what brought me
to pinholing.

take care and enjoy,
