Sorry, it was late yesterday and exchanged this with another bug.
Reopening this bug.

I'm sorry to reply that that I still don't see any menus :-(

http://iki.fi/lindi/jmenu-bug1.png

is a screenshot from vnc4server running inside my unstable
chroot. Here you can see that I can't see the menu with gnu classpath
but I do see it with icedtea 1.3.

Can you please retry with the current classpath 0.96.1-1 in unstable? I
think all issues should be fixed. The according bug in the upstream
bugzilla got closed too.

Hello,

I don't know if what I observe is related to this bug, but when trying
the provided example I get a truncated menu with jamvm and a full menu
with kaffe (see attached screenshot).

With cacao (0.98-2) I get:

$ cacao jmenu
LOG: [0x300215c0] threads_impl_thread_start: pthread_attr_setstacksize
failed: Invalid argument
Aborted (core dumped)

I'm running an etch/sid mixture on powerpc, with the 2:0.95-1
classpath packages I built on my laptop (since the buildd are
lagging on ppc for this package).

Laurent.

Hmmm, I cant reproduce this. I tried in an unstable chroot and running
an etch Xorg. Once directly on a machine and another time the Xorg
exported via x11vnc. I dont think so but it might be possible that your
Sarge somehow influences this. I have no sarge system anymore. I'm on
etch now. Would it be possible to test on a system with etch as base
system?

I tag this bug now as "unreproducible" because I cant reproduce it and
"help" to make others aware this bug needs more input from others.

Michael

thanks

I did apt-get dist-upgrade in my unstable chroot and I now have
classpath version "2:0.95-1". However, I still don't see the
menubar. The problem is reproducible in a vncserver started inside the
chroot so my normal sarge system should not affect the behavior. I
don't unfortunately have real graphics hardware to run xorg on any of
the unstable systems.
