Hi all, I had the same issue, could not play a file with an UTF-8 character in the filename. as it turned out my LANG env was set to "C" and not en_US.UTF-8. please confirm with : cat /proc/$(ps -A | grep audacious | awk '{print $1}')/environ | sed 's/\x00/\n\r/g' | grep LANG I did have en_US.UTF-8 set when checked in X in a terminal. both in /etc/profile.env and /etc/env.d/02locale but I started audacious from xfce-4 menu which was started from GDM and I was missing the following entry: Language=en_US.UTF-8 in my ~/.dmrc Yours sincerely, CBke ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

git-packaging workflows
Hi, Recently, Russ' blog post was echoed on http://planet.debian.org: http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/journal/2013-04/001.html In that post, he describes how to combine both the "import tarball" and the "have upstream history" available in the upstream packaging branch. AFAIUI, the heavy work is implemented in git-buildpackage's --upstream-vcs-tag option. While that option is news to me, I wonder if maybe anyone else already experiments with this? Does the team feel that making it mandatory for our package would be beneficial and appropriate? -- regards, Reinhard ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
