Bug#841501: ffmpeg-doc: faq.html link to local copy of manual
Package: ffmpeg-doc Version: 7:3.1.3-1 Severity: wishlist File: /usr/share/doc/ffmpeg/manual/faq.html faq.html has various links like https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html. Bug#728046: mpg123: mailcap program and tty
Package: mpg123 Version: 1.16.0-1 Severity: wishlist File: /usr/lib/mime/packages/mpg123 This is two ideas for the mailcap of mpg123, - Run mpg123.bin to be sure of getting the mpg123 program in case update-alternatives has selected something else (like mpg321). - Run -C -v when on a tty for interactiveness. # mpg123 -C -v for keyboard controls and progress line on a terminal. # # mpg123 -q quiet when no tty. In this case read stdin since that # might let run-mailcap or similar pipe straight in, no temp file. # # ENHANCE-ME: Should have test=... in these entries so they're only # used if audio output is possible by mpg123's configured or selected # methods. That might mean user in the audio group, or jack daemon # running, etc. Would playing an empty mp3 be a good enough test? # Perhaps mpg123 could help by some sort of mpg123 --test-output. # audio/mpeg; /usr/bin/mpg123.bin -C -v '%s'; needsterminal; description=MPEG Audio; priority=5 audio/mpeg; /usr/bin/mpg123.bin -q -; description=MPEG Audio; priority=5 -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_AU.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mpg123 depends on: ii libc62.17-93 ii libltdl7 2.4.2-1.3 ii libmpg123-0 1.16.0-1 Versions of packages mpg123 recommends: ii libasound21.0.27.2-3 ii libjack-jackd2-0 [libjack-0.116] 1.9.9.5+20130622git7de15e7a-1 ii libopenal11:1.14-4 ii oss-compat4 Versions of packages mpg123 suggests: ii alsa-utils 1.0.27.2-1 pn jackd none pn nas none ii oss-compat 4 pn oss4-base none pn pulseaudio none -- no debconf information ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

Alessandro Ghedini al3x...@gmail.com writes: ... (add-to-list 'auto-mode-alist '(\\.ewf\\' . ecasound-ewf-mode)) Is this correct? Pretty close. It's good to wrap it all in a package-dir existence check like that haml-elisp bit, because with dpkg --remove the /etc startup file is left behind but the rest of the package is gone. This is important for an auto-mode-alist entry since if the ecasound.el is gone then visiting a .ewf would get an error, where you'd prefer left as fundamental-mode or whatever. ;; If package-dir does not exist, the haml-mode package must have ;; removed but not purged, and we should skip the setup. (when (file-directory-p package-dir) (autoload ...) (auto-mode-alist ...)) I don't know how often anyone uses dpkg --remove on lisp packages. Perhaps by mistake when --purge was intended :-). -- I bought a packet of baby powder mixed it up with some water, put it in the oven, but it came out a blob looking nothing like a baby. ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
Bug#672184: ecasound-el: auto-mode-alist .ewf
Package: ecasound-el Version: 2.8.1-6 Severity: wishlist File: /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50ecasound-el.el 50ecasound-el.el could helpfully set up ecasound-ewf-mode on .ewf files, (add-to-list 'auto-mode-alist '(\\.ewf\\' . ecasound-ewf-mode)) There's a similar line in ecasound.el itself but having it in 50ecasound-el.el will give the mode if visiting a .ewf before running up ecasound. ecasound.el has regexp \\.ewf$ but such entries usually should be \\.ewf\\' to match end of string, not newline. Bug#671568: ecasound-el: help mode access to source code
Package: ecasound-el Version: 2.8.1-6 Severity: minor File: /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/install/ecasound-el In emacs23 -q, C-h f ecasound doesn't have a link button to the ecasound.el source code, where I hoped it would. In emacs23 a .el must be in the same directory as the .elc to be recognised as its source code. An easy way to do that is for the install script to symlink the .el files to the flavour directory when byte compiling, and leave them there for the help system to use (removing both .el and the .elc in the remove script). -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-486 Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ecasound-el depends on: ii ecasound none ii emacs21 [emacsen] 21.4a+1-5.7 ii emacs22-gtk [emacsen] 22.3+1-1.2 ii emacs23 [emacsen] 23.4+1-3 ii xemacs21 21.4.22-3.2 ii xemacs21-mule [xemacs21] 21.4.22-3.2 ecasound-el recommends no packages. ecasound-el suggests no packages. -- no debconf information ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
