With the exception of a TURN Server, It's refreshing to see a truly
distributed network / P2P communication app.

I'm by no means a security expert but I like how they handled account
management with local crypto keys and blockchain for anonymous account
creation and unique usernames that can't be changed. They've also
implemented TLS 1.3, ICE and OpenDHT.

I also like how they wrote a blog post on Jami's "quirks" for people not
familiar with some of the challenges and comprises with a truly distributed
/ P2P secure communication app.

It's these not very "user friendly inconveniences" that become barriers to
widespread uptake. Because ultimately we're only afforded the security &
privacy that people we communicate with have.

I'm very interested to see a security review/audit of Jami.

No need for a web cam... it was six or so presenters and only chat and
questions from the audience. And yes that was early.

I made note of many good points and will find a place for them.

Thank you Michael for setting this up or just letting us know about it

8AM? In the morning?

Can I ask why go for a morning meeting? Not everyone is closed due to
COVID-19. There are a LOT of people still scheduled to work, either with
adjustments to their work environment or from home. My company sells
devices used by the military and law enforcement agencies, so at 8AM I am
available for technical support as usual. It seems pretty arrogant to
assume that this situation affects everyone equally.

Just tossing some empathy out there I'm sure plenty of people feel
excluded from that meeting simply due to the timeframe.

It has nothing to do with the network. It is a problem with printing from
this computer. I can ping the printer and I can bring up the printer
config/status web page. It is not communication. It is an hplip/cups issue.
