Don't worry about my weekend! I gave up friday night. And then I spent an
extraordinarily beautiful late autumn day in the alps. Not ruined at all!

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Last.FM plugin

2005-10-31 Thread ceejay

Sounds good, I'll look forward to trying it out!

I've not tried the 0.9.1 version with the multiple logins yet, though I
can see it how it might be useful (right now my lastfm profile is being
filled up with my kids' Elbow, I'm having to make sure I play plenty
of Pink Floyd to stay ahead!!)

Worth noting that the standalone LastFM player isn't entirely
successful at recovering from interruptions, either.

My wife will be very pleased if this gets really stable, and as we all
know that's worth a lot (like permission to buy a new SB3...)

Check under server settings, there's an option called 'File Types' I think.
You need to enable the RTSP ones.

2005-10-31 Thread Triode

Should work with flac streaming to softsqueeze.

Markus, could start the server manually from the command line and see
if there are any additional mplayer messages.

In case you don't know:
1) stop the server
2) open windows cmd window
3) change directory to location of slimserver slim.exe file

type: slim --d_source

cut and paste the output of this window when you try to play something
- there is usually an error from mplayer if something is wrong..

There are two different types of caller ID display used in the UK... BT
have their own method and the cable companies have either the US method
or the BT method depending what type of local exchange you are

Thank you both. It's now working perfectly (and I'm very impressed -
especially the 'play again' capability). I'm really starting to wonder
when, after a years ownership of Squeezeboxen, they will stop
impressing me more and more with their capabilities and expandability.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Last.FM plugin

2005-10-31 Thread James

v1.0.0 is up now!

Changes:
* fixed the bug above caused by failed connections to LastFM stopping
updates
* jump to LastFM mode on player when playback started from web
* better state tracking. Main benefit here is the 'press play' message
is replaced with 'please wait' until we connect to LastFM for the first
time.
* wierd bug fixed where playback was being started twice from the web
page. May have been why it often didn't start properly...

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: [Announce] MusicInfoSCR screensaver updated

2005-10-31 Thread kdf

nice stuff Michael. A couple things I've noticed after downloading
today both with the suffle/repeat icons:

1) with progressbar selected for top right, and icons set for top
right, show always, the bar and icons overlap

2) with a side vis, the progressbar ends the column before the icons.
It might be nice to have even one pixel separation if possible.

actually, turning the icons off then back on seems to avoid problem 1,
but then for the wide case 2 still applies.

top left choices both look great.

For the icons selection pulldown, something like no or do not show
might be more clear than a blank (which barely has any height in
firefox.

Some feedback,

I've been using the multiple logins for slimscrobbler for some 3 days

work/other houses/wherever, while server is at home. Each one has its
own lastfm user, and it works great.

Im trying to listen to a non-default playlist in AlienBBC.
The file for the playlist has:

[playlist]
numberofentries=1
File1=http://www.continental.com.ar/ra/am.ram

This works flawlessly up until Rev 4970.

Any idea?
Thanks!
