Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins on a Mac OSX?

Go to /Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane, then open the
package (I use Path Finder, so I don't know if the Finder allows that).
You'll then a path continuing: ~/Contents/server/HTML/. Your plugins go
 there.

They could go there, but it's not recommended. With that method an
upgrade of SlimServer will lose the plugins.

Library/Slimdevices/Plugins is the correct place, allowing for the fact
that you need to distinguish between /Library and ~/Library. That is, if
you - or anyone else who needs to know - doesn't know, between the
Library that is for all users and the ones for each individual user.

My preference pane is in ~/Library, by the way, not /Library, because
that's how I installed it.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Last.FM radio no connection :(

2007-03-01 Thread Craig, James \(IT\)
You need to enable --d_plugins debugging and check the log to see what's
going on.
--d_remotestream is useful if you have a SB2/3/Transporter as they do
the streaming themselves.

Sometimes LastFM just doesn't work though!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze question: connection problem

2007-03-01 Thread Dpfels

Right. So it looks like I have this working, at least part way. I can
log in to a server running under WinXP SP2 using Softsqueeze running on
a Mac (OSX 10.4.x). Both are running the most current server and client
software.
However, I am unable to log into the Linux machine. The error message
says that it cannot use the version of the server software (6.3.1-I am
using an older version because it takes fewer resources on this
particular machine). I have not yet found a work-around.

I am not entirely sure what changed, but I think it was essential to
use the actual IP address rather than the name of the server that
appeared on the pop-up list in the SoftSqueeze prefs menu.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SSH Softsqueeze - Help needed

2007-03-01 Thread subagon

Oh my GOD this is great!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

One question. What's the deal with the ssh setup tab in Softsqueeze? I
mean how can I get it to work so I don't have to use putty?

Now that I have this working on my Windows box, I'll set it up on my
linux workstation which is my primary music listening box. I can script
up something to login with ssh and then kick off Softsqueeze.

--Soapbox mode on
I use Amarok to tune in Radio Pardise + a few mp3s. If you haven't
tried Amarok, do so. It's the best mp3 player on any platform. Right
now it only runs on *nix w/ KDE. When KDE4 comes out, the Amarok team
plans on releasing a Mac Windows version.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins on a Mac OSX?

2007-03-01 Thread NJRonbo

Guys,

First, I appreciate your patience in guiding me through this.

Guys,

Thanks for the help.

SUPERDATETIME finally showed up on my plugins list.

Now

How do I select that individual plug-in to run on my Squeezebox 3?

I know there are checkmarks on the browser settings end, but
is there anything I need to run on the Squeezebox to enable
that screensaver?

Thanks, all, for the assistance!
