Hi James,

Firstly, it might be worth grabbing the latest build of Moose as there
was a fix for the infinite errorbox issue..

But, if that doesnt fix it..
What settings do you have for mysql in Moose's preferences ?
What's the exact error-box text that comes up if you do a scan
from the Moose preferences page ?
Do you have any firewalls running - does disabling them help ?

Dr. Lovegrove, Thanks. The fix was as simple as using your latest
version of Moose.
This is a very impressive application which is getting better with each
new release. i was wondering if you could add an menu option under
Library-Tree for favorites. would that be possible?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce] SlimCD 1.85 - The Return of AlienBBC!

2007-03-02 Thread Michael Herger
I'm pleased to announce SlimCD 1.85.

SlimCD is a complete operating system which will boot from CD. It features
all you need to run SlimServer including many of the community's favourite
plugins. Your SlimServer will be up and running within a few minutes
without the need to install anything!

After almost half a year I finally succeeded installing mplayer/AlienBBC
to run on SlimCD (many thanks go to flipflip again, for his mplayer
patch). Other changes include SlimServer 6.5.2, update to all the
installed plugins, addition of most of Erland's Custom* plugins etc.

You'll find more information about SlimCD on my site
http://www.herger.net/SlimCD

Have fun!

Not sure I understand ? Favourites are currently listed under
Library-Tree-Server-Favourites. Is this what you mean ? There's also
an 'add to favourites' menu entry for most of the library's popup menus.

Oh my GOD this is great!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

One question. What's the deal with the ssh setup tab in Softsqueeze? I
mean how can I get it to work so I don't have to use putty?

I haven't gone deep into troubleshooting, but basically the key types
are wrong between Softsqueeze and (some?) OpenSSH installs. It won't
work with my SuSE 10.0 server, and debug logging shows that the key
negotiation failed. I seem to recall or imagine that it's a bug in the
Java SSH library.

This may be pretty basic, but it may help.

Do you have more than one music player set up? If you choose the wrong
player (upper right side of Slimserver)and change the setting, that
would explain your issue.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Lazy Search Music plugin beta for SlimServer 7.0a1

2007-03-02 Thread hickinbottoms

I’m pleased to announce v3.0b1 of the Lazy Search Music plugin for
SlimServer 7.0. This is the first release that works on the unstable
development version of SlimServer, so if you’re involved with the
development or testing of that version then this is the Lazy Search
plugin version you need.

This is a beta release of the plugin and so there may be outstanding
problems that I’ve not found. However, I’m reasonably confident that it
works as I’ve run through my complete test suite and found no
outstanding problems. Note that this is for the development version of
SlimServer and, because that version is under continual development,
it’s possible that this plugin may be broken at any time. If that
happens I’ll try to make the plugin compatible again as soon as
possible.

Changes in this beta release over and above v2.3 of the plugin are as
follows:

- The plugin has now been ported to SlimServer 7.0a1. Note that
because this version of the SlimServer is under constant development
this plugin is likely to be broken by those ongoing changes. If
you’re having trouble and you’ve updated to a later development
version of SlimServer then check back to
http://hickinbottom.demon.co.uk/lazysearch to see if I’ve released an
  update.
- As part of the SlimServer 7 support, the plugin settings are now in
their own separate page. This has allowed me to tidy up the layout
somewhat. Some of the strings used on this page need translation, so
feel free to let me know what you’d like if they don’t appear
  correctly in your native language.
- Moodlogic support has been dropped in line with its removal from
the main SlimServer code. I never received any feedback that it
  worked anyway.

Note that you should take care when changing the plugin settings since
there currently isn’t any validation of those settings. That’s because
I don’t believe that there is any framework support present for that
yet in the development SlimServer.

Fill your boots over at http://hickinbottom.demon.co.uk/lazysearch

Let me know (through the contact details on the above link) if you have
any problems.

-Enjoy.-
Stuart

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins on a Mac OSX?

2007-03-02 Thread NJRonbo

On the webside (browser) the plugin SUPERDATETIME now
appears in the list of all my bookmarks. All the bookmarks
are checked.

On Squeezebox, SUPERDATETIME also appears under screensavers
and I highlighted it to make it default.

The only problem I am having is that the standard Date/Time
screensvaer is still showing up on my Squeezebox.
