another vote for "very nice"! I haven't read through all the posts
regarding this skin, so I'll hold off on my usually uninformed
comments. Otherwise this is way better than any of the skins that come
with slimserver. Of those I only like the default.

I have no experience with the Infrant stuff so I have no idea what is
possible. There are only two lines of perl code that need to be
updated so if there's a way to edit the bin file (not sure what format
a bin is, etc) or edit the file once installed on the NAS...

If worst comes to worse come SlimServer 7.0 Infrant will be forced to
use the new version (as long as they include SDT)... but that probably
wouldnt happen until Oct/Nov at best.

Good luck. You might want to try some NAS searches here too.

I think I'm out of luck then for now since the file I get from Infrant
is compiled ( SlimServer_PluginPack_0.5.bin ) and then once installed
to the Infrant NAS I have no idea how to get to it / edit it... I will

Your reply leads me to believe I might be able to find / edit the

Unfortunately ESPN recently changed their HTML ever so slightly which
threw off the score parsing :( As such you need the latest version of
the plugin to get the scores. Do you have any access to the box? If
you could edit the plugin.pm file that would even work.

In fact i did :) But its about 80kb, and the limit for uploading is 20
kb. But you can download it here: http://www.box.net/shared/ezfkuvireo

If you can "repair" it, would gladly try to get it up to lastfm, if it
can be done??

Still, i wonder why slimscrobbler stops working?? It have happened
before, but then i just restarted the SS on my QNAP TS101. Guess the

Well the answer is quite simple, simply try them all and after that try
modified versions of them according to what you feel needs to be
changed. That what I did and it costed me only a week or so and many
sleepless nights to conclude that I still don't know which one fits
best ;-)

Still one thing is clear to me now and that is that I can't live

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AlienBBC on ARM based NAS

2007-07-25 Thread bpa

I think your problem is now mplayer not handling your audio output and
there is no problem processing RealAudio.

>From your descriptions, this is what happens now:
1. Mplayer playing can process a RealAudio stream and save to a WAV
file. The WAV file can be played by another device so it is OK
2. When mplayer is used to play a valid WAV file - but output is heard.

Can mplayer play any audio file on your system ?

Try the following - first line is audio output, 2nd line is to a file
(the -v -v -v gives more debug output).
mplayer -v -v -v -af volume=0,resample=44100:0:1,channels=2
REALAUDIOURL
mplayer -v -v -v -af volume=0,resample=44100:0:1,channels=2 -ao
pcm:waveheader:file=output.wav REALAUDIOURL
