It seems the SiriusCanada captcha system no longer matches image names to the images content like it appears the plugin assumes for the american version. So hardcoding like it does now for Sirius US is out. If Sirius US changes to this it looks as though the plugin will break in that region as well. [SlimDevices: Plugins] SiriusRadio and Captcha
So it seems SiriusCanada no longer works, presumblay because it uses a new more extended Captcha system (the graphic of letters/numbers you need to type in in order to log in). I may look at enhancing the plugin to grab that graphic and send it to the Duet so that the user can then enter the Captcha code and successfully log in. Not sure yet whether it's possible to send the graphics on to the remote but I can't imagine why it would not be. I'm conversant in perl/etc so could be good fun and a way to learn the plugin system. Alternatively I can get the captcha images that they use now and hardcode the codes in much like it does for Sirius.com. Probably an easier way to start as I can mine those in a few minutes with a quick script. But sending the image is more extendable for when they change them again. Does anyone other than me have any interest in this? -- BrockStone BrockStone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16497 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45770 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayLog -- log track info, easy web searches
What a day! OK, please try 7a15, which addresses a few things: - IE7 problems: with certain conditions (no files, empty files, etc.), some Javascript variables were not initialized properly. This should be fixed. The display is also smarter in no-file and no-song conditions, hiding things like "Download XML" and "[Select all]" when they make no sense. - layout problems with the Default skin: CSS changes I made to appease IE6 weren't so great with Default -- especially for the Search and Add/Play popups. Now the web UI treats Default specially, so this should be fixed, too. - running in newer versions than 7.0. The install.xml file should now allow this to run in 7.1, for those of you running bleeding edge SC7 code. It's still no good in Fishbone, but frankly I think I may ignore that unless/until I hear that some Fishbone user is trying out PlayLog. :-) -Peter -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver FuzzyTime PlayLog PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44582 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins specifically for Duet
I have a Duet now. Never had a SB3 so new to developing for these in general. I've poked around and haven't been super successful in finding how to develop plugins for the remote/controller itself. Any links would be great. Particularly interested in screen control. Also will there be a plugin section for plugins that only work on the Duet remote? Pardon if I'm making any incorrect assumptions, just firing up into this. From what I gather plugins can run on the squeezecenter server, or the remote...or is it all spawned from the server? I ssh'd in and poked around a bit just out of curiosity. The 7.1 version (available a a nightly build if you are eager to take on the risks) will operate on holding FWD, then you get a similar bar display which you can control with the arrow buttons and it will jump to that position after a short pause. No it does not. However, there are improvements to fast-forward and rewind that are scheduled for SC7.1. These improvements are similar in UI to the songscanner plugin with much better integration. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: PlayLog -- log track info, easy web searches
exile & tamanaco -- sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the feedback. I think the "no data" problem might be a result of having an empty XML log file -- certainly there are some spots in Web.pm where I could have done more error handling. Can you check your SqueezeCenter Cache directory for a "PlayLogSongLogs" directory, and check that for MM.xml files? PlayLog by default will try the MM.xml file for the most recent month, and if that file exists but has no elements, you might end up at that error condition (though on my Linux system it handles a file with no elements fine). I've posted an untested new release, 7a14b, that adds more error handling and should resolve that HASH reference error. Displaying in Classic but not Default skin -- what browser are you using? IIRC, Default expects XHTML tags, and I wouldn't be surprised if my HTML template has some content-less tags that don't have proper "/>" close tags. Perhaps you're using a browser that's more strict about XHTML tagging than I've tested with. Release 7a14c fixes a couple of these improperly closed tags, but there may be other problems. Like 7a14b, it's untested. The menu icon is probably fine. I didn't try to specify the icon, so I expect that SqueezeCenter defaults to using the same icon as the OPML playlist. -Peter -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ free plugins: http://www.tux.org/~peterw/#slim AllQuiet BlankSaver FuzzyTime PlayLog PowerCenter/BottleRocket SaverSwitcher SleepFade StatusFirst SyncOptions VolumeLock peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44582 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Sirius plugin for Go Cubs
If you can play from SC then you can play from the Duet Controller. Here's how: GoCubs;285349 Wrote: > Are you hitting play from a channel listing or when you're viewing a > specific channels detailed info? For example, navigate Internet Radio > -> Sirius Radio -> Browse by name and then highlight a channel and hit > play. DONT hit the middle button. Hitting the middle button brings up > the details of the channel and currently from that screen play doesn't > do anything (I should fix that, guess I never hit play from the other > screen so didn't think of it). So you must be on a page with other channels listed, highlight the channel you want to listen to then hit play. Do not hit the center button or it will take you to the individual channel page from which Sirius will not work. Does that make sense? It works great from me. If you can get it to work, I strongly suggest donating to Greg for all his work. http://gregbrown.net/ -- strawnj strawnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15720 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44913 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

I have the same problem. I must start Sirius from Squeeze Center. It's a real pain because my Mac is upstairs and my SB3 is downstairs. Also, I my SB does not show the name of the song playing, only the channel. You can't switch from channel to channel either unless you go back to the squeezecenter, clear the current channel and enter a new one. Really need a fix on this. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC - No Stream
Sorry for being dim, but I really didn't expect to have to become a network engineer each time the SBs throw a wobbly ! As I can stream audio files from my NAS, wirelessly OK I assume the problem lies with the SB3s not being able to access the Internet. If anyone knows how to cut and pasted details from IPconfig I can put the full results here. Anyway, I use; Windows XP Pro SS 6.5.4 (resides on the NAS) PC is able to access the internet just fine. In Ipconfig I have; Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection = disconnected Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection 3 = Gateway 192.168.2.1 DHCP and DNS servers are the same (192.168.2.1) I've 4 DHCP clients connected on 192.168.2.4 (and .7, .9 and .10) DHCP range is 192.168.2.2 - 192.168.2.254 Under Windows network connections I have 5 icons; 1394 (two of, both connected) Wireless connection (connected) LAN3 (connected) LAN (disconnected and no option to connect) I've no idea why 5, or what each one is for (I assume the wireless and LAn ones are for wireless and cabled networks respectively - what is 1394 ?). Sorry for stuff I've probably missed - I can follow instructions but just don't fully understand all the stuff around networks.
