Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] nuther AlienBBC problem.....
If you're up to getting a proper log - the following steps will produce a log of what is happening between SC, mplayer and socketwrapper. To run SC from a command prompt. 1. Stop SC. 2. Save a copy of Plugins/Alien/custom-convert.conf so you can revert. 3. Edit using Wordpad the file Plugins/Alien/custom-convert.conf. Change the -really-quiet on the mplayer lines to -quiet. Save file and end edit. 4. From Windows open a command prompt 5. Goto top left corner icon menu of command window and change properties to change window size. Change window to 300 wide by 3000 lines long. 6. In command prompt window. Change directory (ie. use cd) to the SC directory - if using a standard installation it is in c:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server 7. Type in the command squeezecenter.exe and SC should start normally. 8. From web interface (Setting/Advanced/Logging) enable logging as follows plugin.alienbbc to DEBUG, player.source to INFO. 9. Try to play a BBC Listen Again stream 10. Log messages should scroll up and you should see some from mplayer and also socketwrapper. 11. Wait 1 minute (or less if there are lots of messages) - at command prompt window - type CTRL/C to stop SC. Wait for prompt. 12. Use command prompt window top left icon menu to copy all of the log messages and paste them into text file 13. Zip the text file and Post the zipped text file. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=47603 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 for SqueezeCenter 7.0
Are you deleting the plugin cache file? If not, that's probably why it's not updating. Yes, first deleted the plugin cache file only, then deleted the entire cache directory. Of course stopped and restarted SqueezeCenter every time I re-installed and emptied the cache. The path to the settings page is expected to look like that. This baffles me. This path doesn't even exist on my computer. (And I'm sure I installed v1.1.10 correctly. v1.1.1 is working every time I install it.) To emphasize what I mean: the path C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Plugins\SqueezeScrobbler\HTML\EN\plugins\SqueezeScrobbler\settings\basic.html does exist and should exist (based on the directory structure in the SqueezeScrobbler zip file). However, based on the error message, SqueezeCenter/SqueezeScrobbler appears to look for C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Plugins\SqueezeScrobbler\HTML\EN\**settings**\plugins\SqueezeScrobbler\settings\basic.html It's the first settings (emphasized with asterisks) that shouldn't be there. There are a number of playlist features showing up in bugzilla (re sound effects and favourites) now that are apparently supported through SN, but not SC for the alarm. Given that SN is closed, I have no idea how that is handled, but certainly there are some things that will be coming along to add more alarm playlist options to SC, at least for favourites.
