I just upgraded to the 7.1 beta version so I can use last.fm in SC. Does the wave input plugin that I installed for 7.0 work in 7.1? Do I need to reinstall if I upgraded to 7.1? I ordered my player but don't have it yet so I don't know if it really does work. I have a collection that consists of about 32k flac tracks, and I'm trying to do what I think is a very basic Custom Browse setup. 1. I have three directories of single artist albums that I'd like to be in one library, and two directories of various artist albums that I'd like to be in another library. That seems easy enough to set up, but I'm not sure what some of the options are under 'New Library', like Menu Group. 2. Now, I'd like to create, under Custom Browse, a browsing area for each of these two libraries. This also seems very straightforward - no point in having an Artist browse when you have all VA albums underneath that, etc. 3. So I browse my Single Artist collection and select an artist, and up pops a very nice Artist summary...I know I can change the order of the years to ascending in the custom sql code, but at the bottom is a list of the albums from that artist. The album name is the only thing listed. Is there ANY possible way to have the (year) included in the album title? Is this changable in the header/footer items? I'd prefer to have the albums ordered by year in that scrolling iconized list. 4. Eventually, I'm going to want to be able to have a random album selection from one library or the other. Can I do that with the SQL plugin? 5. Is there any way to get the Random Album selected using the standard Random menu option to display not only the Album name, but the Artist as well? I had this same problem with channel 26. In my case, on the XM Plugin settings page in SC, when I changed the streaming speed from high to low, channel 26 started to work. Try this at your own risk, but the fix to PowerSwitch II may be very simple: Edit PowerSwitch II 's install.xml file so that the maxVersion line reads: 7.* Then, restart SqueezeCenter. I'm loving SugarCube, but have a suggestion. What I often do is play a totally random mix of music, and whilst playing I hear a song that hits my current mood. I then want to play random music that is similar to the currently playing song. If I enable SugarCube, it clears the current playlist, so I then have to navigate through the music library to find the track that was playing and press play on that track (Nb. I assume the setting to Play all songs on album option has to be disabled). In this instance it would be nice if SugarCube could use the currently playing track as the seed - i.e. clear songs before and after the currently playing song, and add one new similar song after the one track that is left. Excellent Plugin... between the mixes from this plugin and regular MusicIP mixes I wasting more time than ever listening to my music library. One issued and a couple questions to set my understanding straight. The issue: It seems that whenever the MusicIP returns a song with a extended (foreign) character the mixes stop and the playlist starts from the begining. See the relevant lines from my server log below. The questions: How come the settings that I view using the Web interface of the MusicIP server are not reflected in the settings page of SugarCube? I'm confused as I thought that one of the recommended *Pre-requisites* for SugarCube was MusicIP configured to run headless. When running MusicIP headless does it mean that once I use the MusicIP server Web UI to change the settings that this settings are reflected on the SC MusicIP mixes. Again, pardon my ignorance as I just got a bit confused. Are the settings for the mixes comming from the MusicIP server or do you need to use the setting in the setting page of SugarCube? I did not change any of the default settings of SugarCube and the mixes that I get reflect the MusicIP mixes that I with SugarCube disabled. [SlimDevices: Plugins] IR Blaster and Volume Control
For the life of me I can't figure out how to get access to volume control on my sb remote or itouch when i have the ir blaster plugin configured. In the settings for ir blaster it seems mandatory to set a fixed volume (20-100) and therefore that cancels any volume control on my remotes. I changed the SC interface to classic mode and XM Radio is now functional. I prefer the default interface but at least I now can get XM streaming. It also functions on the Duet. Hey, I found the bug - it was basically caused by having "select from top" enabled and then when it picks the "from top track" it finds out that we have already played it. :) I've improved the mitigation function so that it will select the second track from the top of our MIP response and queue that up. However, that will only fire if the results from MIP have more than one track as a response. If you have a very tight criteria or small music collection then you cant really get around this problem as MIP may only give you the one track to choose from.
