that's nothing to do with iTunesUpdate. Have you checked where iTunes actually thinks the files are? In Windows you can choose 'show in explorer' from the track's context menu. [SlimDevices: Plugins] browse by Artist and AlbumArtist (custom browse / scan?)
Hello there, I have my music collection in FLAC format. There are alot of samplers/compilations/various artists albums in my collection. Now I want to be able to browse the collection by *Artist* and *Album Artist* in such a way that: If the ALBUMARTIST tag exists, the album artist's name only should appear in Album Artists but all its artists (=track artists) should appear in Artists. If the ALBUMARTIST tag does not exist, the album's artist should appear in Album Artists and also in Artists. (The second condition could be left out if I set the ALBUMARTIST tag the same as the ARTIST tag for all single-artist-albums.) I should end up with the Album Artists menu containing the same number of items as there are CDs in my collection and with the Artists menu containing all artists of my collection. So basically I want an extra menu item called Album Artists and populate it as described. The question here is how to do that. It can probably be done with the custom browse plugin - but how? Squeezecenter reads the ALBUMARTIST tag of FLAC files but I don't know how to use them in custom browse. Hi, I'm running FreeNAS 0.69b4 Sareer (revision 3864). Slimnas 1.1.2 and SqueezeCenter Version: 7.3 - 23363. Most things work as long as you update plugins to latest version and modify some of the install.xml files to allow them to run on Ver 7.3+. The only one that seems to have stopped working is Michael's MusicInfoScr ver 4.3, although it appears to run, I cannot access the settings page and the Screensaver doesn't kick in when I play a track. [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP Mixes don't start playing automaticylly when using CustomBrowse
Previously, when I press and hold the play button (on the remote) a MusicIP mix was created and the mix immediately started playing since I have in MusicIP the option Immediately play mix upon creation set. Since I started to use CustomBrowse, when pressing and holding the play button two menu items are shown, Browse by selected and MusicIP. I now deselected in the options of CustomBrowse all Browse by selected mixers and now only the MusicIP menu item is shown when I press and hold the play button. But still I have to press RIGHT to start the mix playing. Thanks for the plugin - the iPlayer streams sound much better than the Real streams by some margin. I still prefer to listen to Radio2 FM (car) or Sky+ (home), but the iPlayer listen again service sounds better by a country mile when compared to AlienBBC. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Out-of-place but Alien related: mplayer segfaults under debian lenny/sid ?
Sorry to pollute this forum with an OS-related question, but I wanted to give AlienBBC a go, and I simply can't get MPLAYER to run on my debian 2.6.26 machine. It just says Segmentation Fault and it's gone. I used packages (straight debian and marillat's), compiled with debian patches, and also without, I nuked the prefererences file in /etc, nothing seems to help. So before I compile with debug symbols :( perhaps somebody used to mplayer can tell me if a headless machine, no sound card (a vague snd_dummy and pcspeakr modules), very little X11 libs should indeed be able to run mplayer ? Is there something obvious I am missing ? If this is set to No it should execute the mix directly if only a single mixer is available.
