I have used weathertime as a default for my Squeezeboxes, but recently have not been getting forecasts. I have tried updating to the latest version of weathertime (152), but still do not get any forecasts. My logs show the following message: 500 Can't connect to api.wunderground.com:80 (Bad hostname 'api.wunderground.com') [09-01-23 22:12:46.1425] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1122) Warning: [22:12:46.1420] Weather::Wunderground: ERROR No response from weather server while loading data: ERROR While getting resource: http://api.wunderground.com/auto/wui/geo/WXCurrentObXML/index.xml?query=55113 : I've tested the web url in my browser and get back weather data. I have also upgraded to SqueezeCenter 7.3.2-24695 since the problem has started, but without change. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl
Just a quick note of appreciation for Gordon's fantastic effort on this plugin!, after it's *very humble* almost beginnings in my hands :-) I've only just got back to catching up on the thread, and have noted a couple of things. Yup, first - the copyright thing. It was me that initially slapped GPL on it, as an attempt to keep the thing alive and in development by others. The package as it now stands has had such a major contribution from Gordon - I have absolutely no issues in him changing terms of the copyright and license as he sees fit! (Gordon, just put a tiny mention to me 'Adrian C' and http://www.adrianonline.net as the rest of the wordpress deep link is now broken - and also Max Spicer without whose work I wouldn't have even got started..) Secondly, his support - this fellow has being doing much of this wonderful stuff unpaid, and a few coppers/$ thrown in, say, a Paypal account of Gordon's has recently been suggested. Very good idea, I think. :-) Come on folks, it's worth more that those flashlight iPhone Apps on the Apple Store. We're all saving the planet using this, and a plea for Logitech?... Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: InguzDSP for 7.3.x
Hello, I am running Inguz EQ (v0.9.30), Squeezecenter Version: 7.3.2 - 24695 on Windows XP - EN - cp1252 with 2 receivers and one SB3. Once I install the plugin, I see a copy of lame.exe socketwrapper.exe InguzDSP.exe flac.exe spawn in task manager whenever I play a track. So if I play a playlist of 10 tracks, there will be 10 copies of each process showing up in task manager. At first I though it was due to me running Squeezecenter from the command line, but the processes even continued to spawn after I disabled the plugin via Squeezecenter and also after disabling all non-standard, third party ones. I had to remove all installed files from the EQ and DSP before my system returned to normal again. I am running Squeezecenter from Squeezetray now - same issue. Also, the spawned processes do not die after shutting down Squeezcenter - I had to kill the processes manually. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] squeezeslave running in background?
If you start it by appending an & to the command line, it will run in background. This is usually sufficient to keep it running even when the xterm that started it is killed or exited. With some apps you may need to add 'nohup' to the start of the command line... this is because when the shell exits it is supposed to send a HUP to children to tell them that you "hung up" the session (as in hanging up a phone call) and that they should shut down nicely. In practice, I rarely use nohup, so I doubt you need to use it. (Most programs ignore the HUP signal or use it as a clue to reread their config files, not to exit.) -- snarlydwarf snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58696 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Check WebUI Setting/Advanced/FileTypes The RTSP settings are for RealAudio. If none are disabled then Flac will be used by default. To minimise CPU usage - Disable RTSP->FLAC and RTSP->MP3 - but this will require a good network. To minimise network usage by usingh MP3 instead of Flac disable RTSP->FLAC and RTSP->WAV. I'm running squeezeCenter on my synology DS207+, with the AlienBBC plugin. Works ok except that it constantly rebuffers the radio channels. I understand it might be related to the format that i use to send the data to the squeezebox overloading the CPU on the 207+. This sounds to my like your server really busies out resampling the artwork. iPeng is using different artwork sizes from SC and SBC so this can be an issue whenever you do a clear and rescan.
