Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
The 1 sec problem is due to using -w and redirecting stdout and wavin2cmd cannot write a WAV header to redirected output. Can you try the following command but it assume there is a copy of lame.exe in the same directory as wavin2cmd.exe. wavin2cmd -o wavin:0 | lame -x -r - capture.mp3 This should create an mp3 file with captured audio. If you get static then remove the "-x" as the needs for "-x" depends on the version of lame you have installed. I think 3.96 you need -x and 3.98 or higher you do not. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Actually you are not the first one to experience this but the first times I tried to investigate into it I did so with a standalone network that did not have a connection to the internet at all which worked fine so I wasn't able to reproduce it. So I know that as long as your network doesn't THINK (so to say) it could connect to the internet it will work. > > I've timed the matter more accurately now and it is 22 seconds after I > tap the iPeng icon that it returns to the main iPod menu. I'm not completely sure it does shut down the app after 10s, that's just the limit Apple publishes. But you have to add another 6s until the app starts at all and maybe they just allow some tolerance over the spec until really shutting the app down. Looks like I've got a working fix, will try to get it out ASAP but I don't submit anything without prior beta testing anymore (bad experience, there are always these nasty side effects you don't expect) so I assume it will be at least two weeks (counting 1 week approval time on Apple's side). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] 7.3 and XM radio
raglencross: The artist /track data comes from two sources: 1. In the now playing window /controller screen - this comes from the feed metadata. I've seen this stop occasionally, but I can only attribute this to XM. 2. Now playing data for all channels - comes from a 60 second poll /refresh while any station is playing. There's a bug in 3.0 that keeps this data around after the poll has stopped. Not sure the channels are getting crossed, though. -- wharfrat wharfrat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29248 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=56497 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
Hi, I have tried your suggestion and I have a bit of a strange result. If I try "wavin2cmd.exe -w -o wavin:0 > audiocapture.wav" I get a recording of what I expect (my soundcard's what-u-hear output) but, no matter how long I leave it recording or how large the file size, it plays back as a 1 second recording! I tried to use my soundcard's name using the correct switch but I got silence (and a 1 second recording again - no matter what the file size). I'm assuming that the recording is being corrupted for the file to be large but only 1 second long? I'm still getting the webcam microphone output through my squeezebox though. How can this be? I'm very confused now! The problem is indeed the missing internet connection. Actually, it's only if it's an INTERMITTENTLY missing internet connection. I've been able to reproduce it and the problem is as follows: iPeng uses an iPhone function to determine whether SqueezeNetwork is reachable on startup. This function just returns the network state. Now the problem is, that when your router contains routing information for an internet route but that one is not available, this function hangs until it runs into a timeout after one minute. Now iPhoneOS on the other hand shuts down iPeng if it doesn't react for more than 10s. IMHO this is a really bad design in iPhoneOS that a simple status query hangs for a minute, but what can I do? I'll do a rewrite moving this to a separate thread, but until that there's little I can do other than to recommend to either use a network that is completely separated from internet access or to provide internet access. Or to use a router that actually updates it's routing information to return correct values, which actually would be the REAL fix for such a situation, but obviously most routers act like this. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
I tried playing "The Archers" omnibus this morning, and it was giving me real problems using the previous version of BBCiPlayer running on 7.3.2 (to SB3's) . It initially played for a few minutes before stopping, but then failed to play at all, with what appeared to be license related errors in the log: Code: [09-05-10 12:10:59.2054] Slim::Formats::RemoteStream::open (46) Error: Couldn't find server or port in url: [/iplayer/licence/error.shtml?statuscode=404] [09-05-10 12:10:59.2060] Slim::Player::Song::open (374) Warning: stream failed to open [iplayer://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/3/auth/iplayer_streaming_http_mp4/b00k7pyh]. Anyway, I've upgraded to the most recent 7.4 beta (Windows), and installed the BBCiPlayer .5 Beta as described. I'm happy to report it has given me a massive improvement. I've just finished playing The Archers omnibus. It played almost to the end without problems, but did stop unexpectedly at around one hour & five minutes in (can't find a log error for that). I restarted and fast forwarded to that point and it played the last bit (programme is 75 minutes long) without issue. So, definitely a big improvement! One little thing, I thought (though I may be wrong) that my MusicInfoSCR screen used to show the total time of such listen again programmes. I noticed that for the show I've just listened to, it was always just showing "0:00"...
