not have the time to figure out how this is done, and because you said
you wanted to do the programming yourself, I thought it would be okay to
supply a solution that works and has the registry stuff externalized,
and let you do the fine tuning. When it comes to user interfaces, I
believe they are better built by one person alone, because they tend to
get confusing, otherwise.

 That means installing Sirius Plugin and ensuring 3 days of guaranteed

Hi Michael,
The SCR is a plugin for additional icons to be configured in
squeezecenter.
So you can see the repeat modus/shuffle modus/sleeptime, file ext.
etc.
You can change the look of the display of the squeezebox.
Anyway on one sb3 it works just fine.
On the other 3 sb3,s I have no icons, only the file ext.
So maybe you understand now how it works.

I don't understand it myself because there's absolutely nothing I
changed in the config files or anything in 1.1.2 or 1.1.1.
But I've heard it from other developers as well, seems to be like the
AppStore upgrade sometimes screws up some local app data.

Great!

status - 1 current_title did the trick! Thanks a lot!

It's not formatted like it appears on the display of the squuezebox,

Here's what I did, for anybody who's interested:

use Net::Telnet;
use URI::Escape;

my $telnet = new Net::Telnet( Timeout=2, Errmode='die') ;
$telnet-open(Host='localhost', Port=9090);

if (runCmd($telnet, 'mode') =~ /play/) {
$_ = runCmd($telnet, 'status', undef, '- 1 current_title:');
/\stitle:(.+?)\s(?:[a-z]+:.*\s)?artist:(.+?)\s[a-z]+:/i;
printf('%s (%s)', $1, $2);
}

sub runCmd {
my ($socket, $cmd, $returnSocket, $value) = @_;
$value = '?' unless $value;
my $fullcmd = [HERE GOES YOUR PLAYERS MAC ADDRESS] $cmd $value;
$socket-print($fullcmd);
$socket-waitfor(/$cmd/i);
return $returnSocket?$socket:getResponse($socket);

}

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Add delay to radio stream

2009-06-09 Thread WhaleOil

This is a brilliant idea, and if it were possible would be great. I
often prefer the radio commentary to a lot of sport on TV, but the loss
of sync can be a problem. (It was particularly funny watching the
Champions League final on ITV with Radio 5 commentary - Alan Green is
always fast, but this was off the scale... when he got excited you could
look up to see the goal being scored...)

I have not idea if such a feature is feasible, but maybe someone who
understands the SC system better could comment - I am sure that the
system that allows different players to sync has some sort of delay
function... if so could this be set as a parameter for radio streams?
