Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spicefly SugarCube (Automatic MusicIP DJ)
Excellent thats good to hear. The message is a standard SC notification (ShowBriefly command) so nothing I can do about it unfortunately all the 3x lines presented get wrapped, rather than displayed stacked on each other hopefully the devs will revisit it at some point as it affects Squeezeplay and the Duet handset. In terms of lots of repeating tracks that can be down to how many tracks per genre (if you are using genre mixing) plus if you tie the settings very tight then it leaves no room for MIP to find new tracks, so you can end up with the same one back again. I've found it best to leave the settings very open and let MIP do its thing :) Cheers -- cparker www.spicefly.com - Visit for an enhanced Interface for MusicIP and integration tips and tricks, Plugin coding tips, Spicefly SugarCube the MIP AutoDJ plugin and Spicefly Weather! cparker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2083 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49226 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi, thanks for the reply. The share path is definitely good, and UAC is already off on this machine. The "Copy Locally" option is definitely working...when enabled, the rescan bar dialogue appears for a couple of seconds, and there's a spike in network traffic as I would expect. Is the \\hades\squeezebox\cache share correct and usable from an explorer window ? If you turn on moose's logging via the misc tab and do a rescan, is there anything interesting in the log file ? Hi Peter, I absolutely agree. These (and various other) shortcomings exist and would ideally be addressed. This is just not going to be done by me for purely egoistical reasons, I'm afraid. Weathertime currently does exactly, what I want it to do -- nothing more and nothing less (well, I would love if the precipitation data could be provided by Wunderground, again, but that's another story...). So the bottom line probably boils down to: Should you have the same use case for the plugin as myself, I am happy to share it with you. I've been trying this out today & it looks great, thanks. I am having some trouble though that I hope you may be able to help with. Moose is displaying the player information just fine, but I don't seem to be able to populate the Moose database. The "accidental activation" and "too difficult to do" things are really due to the touch detection not working very well on this screen - an iPhone 2.x issue that will be fixed in the 3.0 builds (not by just using iPeng on 3.0). So you can enable/disable per player and if its disabled on that player wont do anything, let me know however if you discover any issues. Unfortunately Softsqueeze is getting slightly out-of-date to program against and Squeezeplay which is replacing it, is completely different architecture to the SBx. As I dont have stacks of cash and SBs sitting around makes it hard to do multi-client testing, if anybody has a spare SB they dont want drop me a PM :) Cheers -- cparker www.spicefly.com - Visit for an enhanced Interface for MusicIP and integration tips and tricks, Plugin coding tips, Spicefly SugarCube the MIP AutoDJ plugin and Spicefly Weather! cparker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2083 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49226 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

shake-the-disease;440954 Wrote: > The synchronise options is in the left most "now playing" set of > screens. To get to it go to now playing (tap on the penguin icon) then > swipe to the left most screen. Ok. The left most screen has a number of horizontal panels. At the top is a panel for each of my players and at the bottom 'music sources' (SN and 'imac lan'). Touching one of the players makes the control panel at the very bottom of the screen control that player. I really don't like this screen - i have 4 players so need to scroll up/down to see them all. The screen doesn't seem to scroll very well and trying to scroll regularly changes the volume, selects another player or tries to switch to SN. On each of the player panels there is power, volume, connect to SN, play and a wavy line. I think the wavy line is the 'sync' icon but touching it seems to give very unpredicatble results - touching any player seems to select the bottom control and highlights it briefly. Touching the wavy line highlights the player controls in white and keeps the highlighted. Sometimes i can get the wavy line to have a cross through it but can't work out how. Sometimes the player panel shrinks slightly and has a black patch to the right side. I think this panel needs work. I think the top panels should ONLY be used to show status and allow you to select that player - the bottom of the screen should let you change player settings for the player selected. The top panels are too small and it's too easy to change something by accident. The rest of iPeng is really good - better than i ever expected - but i'm having real trouble with this panel. -- b33k34 b33k34's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10919 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
