If you've installed SrvrPowerCtrl manually, Plugin.pm should be at: C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\Plugins\SrvrPowerCtrl\Plugin.pm Go ahead and delete the SrvrPowerCtrl folder. Restart Squeezebox Server (via a reboot of the machine or by stopping and starting SBS) and make sure SrvrPowerCtrl doesn't show up anywhere on the Plugins settings page. Copy this link: http://srvrpowerctrl.googlecode.com/svn/beta.xml ..and paste it into the 'Additional Repositories' edit box at the bottom of the plugins settings page and click 'apply'. When the page refreshes, you ought to see an unchecked entry for 'Server Power Control Beta' under the 'Gordon Harris' plugins section. Check SrvrPowerCtrl's 'enable' check box and click on 'apply' again. Answer 'OK' to the warning about only installing plugins from authors you trust (I am trustworthy) and as soon as the extension download has fetched the SrvrPowerCtrl zip file, you'll be presented with the 'Restart Squeezebox Server' message. Go ahead and restart. After a minute or so, close the plugins settings page and then re-open it. You ought to see an enabled 'Server Power Control (v20091110.223903)' entry in the installed plugins section. Clic on the SrvrPowerCtrl settings link and proceed. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hi Pippin I love your app, but ;) am missing the possibility to stream direct to iPeng the easy way. Now, I first have to start Safari on the iPhone, open the stream.mp3 url, minimize safari, open iPeng, choose my iPhone as source and select the music. I know when iPeng was just started there was already discussion on this subject, but due to the limited direct streaming capability of the iPhone that time, this never worked. But, starting already from OS3.0 (if I'm correct), direct streaming does work on the iPhone, even on the background. Love to see this integrated in iPeng. Goto 1 What happens is, because the install.xml file for v5.8.9 of the plugin was not updated to reflect the new version number, it installs v5.8.9 but does not recognize that it has done so because the install.xml file specifies the version to be v5.8.8. If you go into the plugin cache dir (i.e. C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins\SuperDateTime) and look in the 'lib' directory, you'll probably see some hint that you have v5.8.9 by checking the timestamp of the file(s) in there. If so, to get rid of the problem, you can edit install.xml in the plugin cache dir (above)..just change 5.8.8 to 5.8.9 and the "updated plugins available" message will go away, and the correct version will show for the plugin. You will have to restart Squeezeserver or whatever it's called this month for it to take effect. -- mbg mbg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3200 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] RadioShark & 7.4
The main difference between RS1 and RS2 is in the command packet. There is no change in the vendor and device id. The command packet changes from 6 bytes long to 7 bytes long and there is a small change in the contents. The Windows tuning program uses most of the Linux shark app but there is a change in USB initialisation and handling - which will noty have to be touched. The app is built using VC++ 2005 Express as .exe from VC2005 worked on most XP systems and didn't require special runtime library install. For RS1 support, there may be one small change needed in the plugin if the identification string is different as the identification string is used by wavin2cmd to get the audio stream. You can list off the current setting with "wavin2cmd -l" and then copy the RS1 string back into the plugin. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69288 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

After years of having a home/web server running Linux, a hacked Tivo, and other web appliances... I think I'm Linux-less at the moment. Strange feeling. I think the price difference is cheap enough, where I'd just pick up the RS2 at this point. RS1's are like $15 on eBay, though, so it's very tempting to roll the dice and see if you get a newer version. Sounds like the RS1 + 7.4 is a combination asking for headache if you can avoid it... I really want it for those - admittedly rare - times when my ISP is out, or the public radio station isn't streaming for whatever reason. But as you always have the WLan-Interface enabled, well, what's your experience with the battery life of the iPod. How long can you work with it until it's empty? I think in most cases I just need it to show the current titel information (including cover art). Thank for your informations :-) Stefan -- stefanta650 stefanta650's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33746 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SlimNAS 1.4.99 for SqueezeboxServer 7.4 / FreeNAS 0.7
Hi, Im trying to setup slimnas for my dad. Ive installed the latest build of FreeNas (LiveCD 0.7 i386) I downloaded the latest version of SlimNas from your website today I downloaded squeezeboxserver-7.4.2-29296-noCPAN.tgz I followed the following guide at smallnetbuilder titled "How To Build a SqueezeCenter Server with FreeNAS and a T5700" and all went well, i ran the command (bin/sh /mnt/YourShareHere/slimnas/slimnas-install.sh) which went fine and i got the Extensions tab appear. I then went into the Squeezebox server page and got the screen up. The problem is it is not showing the options to install the squeezebox server software. Ive tried renaming it to squeezecenter-noCPAN.tgz and that did not work either. I read the post by elightbo who seemed to have the same issue but i did not understand the fix he did. Ive ran the dir command (ive got no experiance in linux) and got the following. $ ls -l /mnt/Data/slimnas total 117360 drwxrwxrwx 3 www wheel 512 Nov 21 14:54 etc -rwxrw-rw- 1 ftp wheel 837 Nov 19 23:15 slimnas-install.sh -rwxrw-rw- 1 ftp wheel 15756572 Nov 19 22:58 slimnas.tgz -rwxrw-rw- 1 ftp wheel 22127238 Nov 19 23:53 squeezeboxserver-7.4.2-29296-noCPAN.tgz -rwxrw-rw- 1 ftp wheel 22128102 Nov 21 14:08 squeezecenter-noCPAN.tgz drwxrwxrwx 6 ftp wheel 512 Oct 19 11:55 usr drwxrwxrwx 3 www wheel 512 Nov 21 14:54 var Does anyone have any idea where i have gone wrong? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iTunesUpdate plugin not working on 7.4
There's something fishy going on here. First of all ratings doesn't "take", even though the log shows that it has received the command. Second playcount is increased by 2 each time a song has finished playing instead of 1. Finally the same song's playcount is increased every time (the song playing when starting up), no matter if I switch song, album, or artist. I'd be happy to provide log info but I don't quite know what I'm looking for. The server log looks like this after having listened to four different songs, the first one being "Knock 123". After this, the playcount for "Knock 123" has been increased with 8. (Couldn't paste all of the log to the forum, only included last two songs played.) I've had the "stutter" a couple of times in the last two days. Usually first thing in the morning when switching on for the first time - but my usage doesn't involve flitting from channel to channel so couldn't say if it's more than that. Haven't heard it on the two or three channel changes I do in a day though. I also turn my SqueezeboxServer PC off every night so it could be something to do with that (tuning in soon after PC has booted). -- ian_heys ian_heys's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2629 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=67098 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
