I don't really understand your issue nor which UPNP you are turning off. IIRC Softsqueeze knows nothing about uPNP but if there is a clash of port - obviously it will not work. Here is my understanding of the port usage. I don't think SBS settings affects which port it uses. I think it mau just depend on whether you have a UPNP server up and running on the same system but I'm not sure. If at SBS startup, port 9000 is unavailable, SBS will try 9001 and so on until it finds a port. IIRC When each player broadcasts a requests requesting every SBS to respond - the SBS servers respond with their address and the port to be used. Port 9000 (or whatever) is used to stream the audio data. Port 3483 is used for display and control of the playback including monitoring of the player buffer status. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Twice a day is probably enough since you can press '+' to refresh these at anytime. If you wanted to separate long weather updates from the 10day and averages you could use logic based on the time since long weather was last updated. i.e. - Last update was 6 hours ago. This might be a good compromise between only twice a day OR every x minutes. Good ideas. I'm not sure how often weather.com even changes the text. -Greg -- GoCubs GoCubs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=312 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

For example, after changing a setting or pressing '+' I had long weather text for: Tonight, Tomorrow, Tomorrow Night, Tuesday and Wednesday. After 5 minutes I had text for: Tonight, Tomorrow, Tomorrow Night, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Next 6Hrs. After 10 minutes I had text for: Tonight, Tomorrow, Tomorrow Night, Tuesday, Wednesday, Next 6Hrs, and another Next 6Hrs. After 15 minutes I have 3 entries for Next 6hrs. 4 entries after 20. Pressing the '+' clears it back to: Tonight, Tomorrow, Tomorrow Night, Tuesday and Wednesday. Don eek, that's no good. The first one after current should say something like 2 AM, but the next two after that should say something like Tomorrow/Tonight. Unfortunately weather.com changed the info shown on their webpage so we're stuck with what they have. -Greg -- GoCubs GoCubs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=312 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've no idea why sbin is a file. But once it is, the suggested mv command just changes its name to sbin.org, so that will also be a file. What happens if (after changing the name of the sbin file, or even just deleting it) you try # sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/sbin Does it create a sbin folder? It should. If it does, then I would expect the setup script to work after that. You can't lose anything by trying. -- danco danco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=210 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Instead of 3 periods with hi/lows they have 2 but they've added a next 6hrs section that has three estimated temperatures (instead of hi/low). Yep, that's pretty weird. I thought of a silly folder action that would alter the parent folder contents but that's a pretty ridiculous hypothsis. But if the executable is in fact a soft link, then maybe there is an automounter hijacking /usr/local/sbin ? Feels a bit less improbable, but why automounting in /usr/local ? Here's another plugin.pm for you guys to play with. It *should* fix that endless '*' issue. Along those lines, when it can't parse a page instead it should ignore that data refresh and hopefully one of the subsequent freshes will work. I could code it to try over and over again, but I'd prefer not to wreak havoc on weather.com's servers that are already having a hard time. The long weather issue should also be corrected so you shouldn't get dupes. -Greg +---+ |Filename: Plugin.pm| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=9166| +---+ -- GoCubs GoCubs's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=312 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SuperDateTime stopped working ?
Two days later, and mine is updating...most of the time. A quick look at my server error log indicates that timeout errors are still occurring, but it appears to only be happening once every few hours. No apparent pattern to the frequency, but occurrences are infrequent enough now so as not to bother me. I have no idea if the MusicIP export was causing the problem, but I didn't need it as part of my regular scanning anyway, so I'll keep it off and see if the problem reappears. -- GeeJay GeeJay's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11388 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73222 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

jpo;510805 Wrote: I'm using MediaMonkey to write custom tag information to my MP3 files, and I can't get CustomScan to read this information. MediaMonkey supports custom tags, and according to its documentation, the custom tag information is stored in a tag called COMM:Songs-DB_CustomX, where X is a number from 1 to 4 (I'm just using #1). I just realized I was wrong, this actually works in the current Custom Scan version. All you have to do is enter the following in the Tag mapping field in the Custom Tag scanning module configuration: Code: CUSTOM1=as COMMENT(exp=^Songs-DB_Custom1:(.+)$),CUSTOM2=as COMMENT(exp=^Songs-DB_Custom2:(.+)$),CUSTOM3=as COMMENT(exp=^Songs-DB_Custom3:(.+)$),CUSTOM4=as COMMENT(exp=^Songs-DB_Custom4:(.+)$) This will make Custom Scan scan them as CUSTOM1, CUSTOM2, CUSTOM3, CUSTOM4 I've tried it with your files and it works correctly.
