Did you install SrvrPowerCtrl from the latest beta, I.E. using the
extension downloader using
http://srvrpowerctrl.googlecode.com/svn/beta.xml as the repo? With the
ls -l /usr/local/sbin listing, I would have expected to see the
spc-test.sh script in there too, along with the rest.

I have always had PLAYTIME_REMAINING displayed as I liked to see the
song time count down. But it stopped working for some reason about 1
1/2 months ago. Now it just shows the total song time and DOESNT count
down at all. Removed Plug-in/Re-installed Plug-in several times.
Including deleting the plug-in files on the drive. But nothing seems to
do the trick to get it to work again.

anyone have any ideas on how to fix?

fine...iPeng isn't seeing anything.

When I launch the app, I get the create an account page...which I'm
sure I just cancelled out of before. I don't care about logging into

players.

The Now Playing page just says "Your player was not found." at the

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Inguz and 7.4

2010-02-05 Thread esbrewer

I hope someone can point me in the right direction here. I seem to have
found a consistent point where my Inguz install fails via muski's
procedure. I get thru the final terminal command to check if everything
is working, and file types are indeed set for Inguz. When I do the
restart via the prefpane and go back to try to use the Inguz menus via
the player interface I still get the message that I need to restart -
and this message will not go away.

The Inguz log.txt file says this:

20100205192823: InguzDSP (version 0.9.32 on Mono)
20100205192823: -id must be specified.

I assume this -id is referring to my SB3. Any ideas why the player
can't seem to communicate with the plugin?

Looks like weather.com tweaked their new html format a little more this
week. I noticed mid-week that the Next 6Hr narrative stopped parsing.
I think they cleaned up an extra "a" tag that used to reside inside the
"p" tag you're parsing for the text.

I got it to parse again with the attached tweak to gotWeather.

Thought you might want to look at this area before your next release.

And, again, 'newgreg' was the account you were running under when you

A couple more things to try, please. First off, what does:

# sudo ls -l /usr/local/sbin

#sudo cat /usr/local/sbin/spc-sleep.sh

..say?

Also, from the terminal, as 'newgreg', can you

(Later)

Apparently NetInfo Manager got removed in Leopard, not Snow Leopard. To
find what account a UID belongs to, go to the Terminal and type

dscl . -list /Users UniqueID

It does seem possible that 504 is newgreg, it should certainly be a
user you created, and not one belonging to the system.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl

2010-02-05 Thread danco

I've just responded to your PM (before seeing this post).

It looks as though your sudoers file is the same as mine, essentially,
so I can't see what is wrong.

What are the permissions on your sudoers files? Though I suspect they
are ok.

I've never tried a suspend to msysb myself.

I am on Snow Leopard, and I can't recall how to read the users and
groups in SL. I think that in Leopard there is an item NetInfo Manager
in the Utilities folder. Have a look at who user ID 504 is. It's almost
certainly not your newgreg account, unless you have made a number of
changes along the way to your accounts. But if it is newgreg, we'll at
least know to look somewhere else.

my apologies if this has already been dealt with in the forum, but one
thing that i find perplexing is switching players from squeezebox
network to server and back again.

Do you have a tutorial page dedicated to showing that process?

thanks for a fantastic app!

Yes, that's what it means.
They'll show up in the standard songinfo context menu, it's the same as
on the controller (without lyrics plugin).

I couldn't yet see any change in the "feels like" behavior - always
stuck at minus 17 (Celsius).
I think I am running the latest version of SDT, since I have enabled

Can I do something … or just wait for a fix? Thanks!

2010-02-05 Thread gharris999

PS: the NSIS installer exe for SCWOLTool on the SrvrPowerCtrl downloads
page doesn't create a desktop shortcut for the tool. This is because I
was too lazy to write a proper install script and instead used the
zip2exe program.

Anyway, to create a shortcut, after you've run the installer (and
assuming that you used the default install-to location) just right-click
on your desktop, select 'New' and 'Shortcut'. In the 'Location of the
item' edit box, paste in:

%WINDIR%\SCWOLTool.exe

and then name the shortcut whatever you'd like.

Just to checking the obvious
- you installed BBC Radio from Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer and

I tried the Custom Browse suggestion and it showed me the ratings tag
(used by TrackStat?) but nothing else.

You can:
- Post or send me the customscan.prefs file and the *.ml.values.xml
file that represent your library in Multi Library plugin.
- Send me a file which should have the necessary tags, I've no idea if
MediaMonkey stores the tag differently depending on some configuration.I'll pm
you a zip file of the relevant config files and a sample mp3.

Thanks for your help Erland, this feature will increase the WAF by 100%.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Softsqueeze 3.9 beta for testing

2010-02-05 Thread bpa

I had a few issues with it at the time although I was not testing
simultaneous use. I don't know why they happened and I wasn't going to
spend time chasing them. It is possible I was testing functionality
that you do not use (e.g. OGG streams) or that I had not set things up
correctly.

IIRC The main issue was not to have 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9b1 installed and
being run at the same system not necessarily simultaneously - I
suspected the problem might be associated with preferences, different
location of libraries or Java libraries (there are different version
used between 3.8 and 3.9b1) as not all had different names for different
versions.

The warning intent was to avoid chasing bugs associated with versions
and only chase bugs in 3.9b1.
