Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse menus - show artist with album?
I'm sorry but Custom Browse isn't compatible with the 7.6 release yet. Currently there are some limitations when the new SQLite based database backend is used and one is that the "Show artist with album" doesn't work, so instead of crashing Custom Browse currently just doesn't show the artists. I haven't looked into this in detail yet, so at the moment I can't say if I will be able to support the "Show artist with album" in a future version with SQLite or not. It works if you switch to using MySQL in Settings/Advanced/Performance but as I've understood there are other problems with using MySQL in 7.6 at the moment, so I'm not sure I'd recommend switching to MySQL. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77133 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The performance will be slow if the there are some paths in the backup file that have changed, in this case TrackStat tries to find the file at alternative paths by ignoring the top directories and this operation is really slow in some setups. There is an option in the TrackStat backup settings page called "Find alternative files" which you can use to disable this functionality. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Browse menus - show artist with album?
I've been using the same setup with Custom Browse and Multi Library for a long time, and something happened recently with a squeezeboxserver update that somehow broke the ability to show the artist when I list the albums or get random albums when browsing my custom libraries. Here's my server specs: Version: 7.6.0 - r30539 Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: i686-linux Perl Version: 5.10.0 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.29 (sqlite 3.6.22) I'm using custom browse 2.10 and multi library 2.4. What's weird is that when the page with the random albums pops up, before the album artwork appears it looks like both the artist and album are listed - but once the album artwork appears, only the album is listed. Can someone remind me how to make sure that 'show artist with album' is enabled for the custom browse? The one in the prefs for the custom browse is already checked but doesn't seem to work. -- Cerb Cerb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=797 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77133 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Running 7.5.0 on a Windows Vista server. For the most part it is working well. Thanks. However, I do have one issue. On my Duet controller, I do not get current channel or song information on the Now Playing screen. If I access this screen on the Duet controller the text I see is "Nothing".
